HDHR3-US turns off and on.

Post by KChili » Fri May 10, 2019 5:42 pm

Years ago I packed away a pair of HDHR3-US tuners. Now I'm trying to use these tuners again only to find them both staying lit up for 5 seconds (all lights solid green), turning off for 1 second and then repeating over and over. I tried a higher amp power adapter (2A), but same results. Has anyone else seen this before?

I gave it a shot, but they are still turning off and on.

If you unplug the network cable from the HDHomeRun does it still do that?

Yes, all three lights are solid green for about five seconds, then all off for a about a second and repeat.

Either you've got a bunch of bad power supplies, or the devices have hardware failures. You might try one additional power supply just to be sure.

I've tried the original 1A ps, a 1.2A travel ps and a 2A ps. All with the same results. So I guess I have a couple of fancy doorstops. :)

That is really weird.

If you are ok paying for shipping we can test both the units and the power adapters here - drop a quick email to support@silicondust.com
