SageTV setup

Post by RonBoyd » Sat Apr 27, 2019 12:49 pm

I had SageTV installed on a Windows Vista machine for over 10 years. That machine died. I purchased a new Windows 10 machine and clean installed SageTV (v9.2.1.826); both the x86 and the x64 versions.

My problem is that I can get SageTV to recognize the tuners (3-Connects and 1-Connect Quatro -- 10 total). Meaning I can use them to scan for channels and when I try to preview a channel, it will show, for instance, 100% signal. However, the light on the tuner will only flash and eventually shut off. When I try to watch from either the tuner (SageTV) setup or the EPG, i get a "No Signal" message. The HDHomerun GUI app shows it being connected to the tuner but it doesn't seem to want to release except by unplugging the tuner.

Anyone have a suggestion on what I am doing wrong?

Ron, it may have something to do with Windows 10 not having a native mpeg2 decoder. Did you install the LAV filters yet and set your mpeg2 video decoder filter to LAV Video Decoder?
