Hdhomerun Crashes on Mac

Postby chas9999 » Mon Dec 03, 2018 3:45 am

I am running MAC OS 10.12.6. The app works fine but recently I installed BOOM2 in order to take more control of the audio on my MAC. Ever since installed it the HDHomrun (20180817) app crashes when being opened. I have reported the issue but nothing has been done yet. All my other audio apps work fine with BOOM2.

Hello.

Sorry for the issue you are having.
What kind of mac are you running on?
We are currently trying to source a mac with 10.12.6 to test with. We are unable to replicate the issue on a 10.14.1 mac book pro with boom 2 which works as expected.
We have had issues in the past where the app has tried to select the wrong output device, the fix for this however, is applicable to 10.13 and above.
In the meantime, do you have any other audio devices connected to your mac, perhaps since installing boom2?
For example, any USB or wireless audio devices the sound may be playing through.
