And what do you imagine will be their reaction when they notice you clearly sought to get around their site policy by not-so-cleverly obfuscating what they clearly indicated they don't want here?

Hi SD,

You may have posted on another thread but it wasn't obvious to me. Last update I see is 12/04 defining the problem.

What is the status on the demodulator firmware fix? Has the vendor made progress? Can you give us an ETA for the firmware upgrade?

I ask because my return window closes Jan 12th and not having WTVD is not acceptable. I would love to keep this system. I can forgive the loss of cable channels now that Christmas is past (I used my cable system to cover!) but I can't justify keeping the hardware if a major OTA channel won't tune.

Looks like this is also affecting the Extends. Any one else having problems with the Extend? I have issues with a very close tower pixelation.

My CONNECT Quatro has been having the issues with WTVD 11.1 too. I submitted a ticket this morning, but have not received a response yet. Hopefully a quick firmware update with fix this problem.

I ordered a Connect HDHR4-2US from Amazon and swapped it out with the Quattro I'm having these same issues with and it is rock solid. There is obviously something wrong with some of these HDHR5 Quattros (and Duos) and SD is slow to fix. Two Connect HR4's are the same price as one Quattro, so I am returning the Quattro and will order another Connect HR4 and stack them.

I ordered a Connect Duo from Amazon and swapped it out with the Quattro I'm having these same issues with and it is rock solid. There is obviously something wrong with some of these Quattros and SD is slow to fix. Two Duo's are the same price as one Quattro, so I am returning the Quattro and will order another Duo and stack them.
SD says that the Quatro and Duo have the same issue and same electronics. The old Connect works fine and has different electronics.

Working without issue:
"HDHomeRun CONNECT Duo"
Model: HDHR5-2US
Firmware: 20180817

Subd for results. Same problem here in Colorado. Sending back the quatro I got on Black Friday and buying a connect to replace it.

I will be returning my Quatro next week due to this problem with WTVD. I'm not convinced it will get fixed with firmware and don't want to risk getting stuck with it after the return window.
Please let us know if you have success with the Duo. I will buy one if it works for you and see if I also have some luck. If it works, I'll pick up a second one to get four tuners.

I went ahead and went with the 2 of the duos in lieu of the connect for now. I'll give it hell for 30 days and post my findings.

make sure to post model number (lately I have been seeing many call 4th gen connects "duos" where the duo name applies to 5th gen not 4th), station affected (call sign), and the signal levels. If it is the issue that is based on the new tuners/demod that won't be fixed with a duo. If it is a signal level issue such as too high a signal, adjust such as the quatros are more susceptible to too hot a signal (just as a connect also was compared to the 3rd and older gen tuners... each generation seems to have a lower (tighter) range of signal strengths)

If I wanted to avoid the potential problems of the new hardware, I'd look online for a new or used Connect of the older generation like the 1043ECAB.

I have both the Quatro and the extend and am seeing the same problem only with the Quatro with FOX (channel 29) in Philadelphia.
Fox is completely unusable with the Quatro but fine on the Extend. 100% signal level. I'm about 25 miles LOS from the station and Fox transmits hot on hi UHF. I've tried some attenuators but it knocks out other channels without affecting the pixalation on FOX (added 6db).
Quality on Fox goes from 0 to 100% symbol and everything in between on the Quatro. Stable 100% signal, 78% quality, 100% Symbol on Extend.
