Installing DVR on windows

I am unable to get the DVR setup on Windows
I went through the HDHomerun setup utility to no avail
My.HDHomerun.com does not see it and the app does not see it.
for all I know it is not there
I paid for it. so that is not an issue. what am I doing wrong

the software HDHomeRun-Record is running but the app is not seeing it.
I have rebooted but no help

If the dvr is on the same windows machine you may need to run the loopback fix. Also check the logs for the dvr as it must verify the subscription.

Uninstall the HDHomeRun software (the part with HDHomeRun Setup and the DVR, not the viewer app), then reinstall it and make sure the box is checked to use the PC for recording. That could correct it not showing on my.hdhomerun.com.

For it not being found in the HDHomeRun app, please right click on the Start menu icon and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin). Run the following:

CheckNetIsolation LoopbackExempt -a -n="ef712ba7.hdhomerundvr_23nna27hyxhag"
You should get a response of "OK." Open the app and check to see if you can then access the DVR.
