No hdhomerun_config

Postby gregconner » Mon Jan 15, 2018 1:15 am

Hi,

In the latest version of the Mac software distribution (20171221) there is no hdhomerun_config, but instead inside the app bundle there is tucked away another app named hdhomerun_config_gui. How do I run this app with command-line parameters so I can use all the hints in the forum?

My problem is that I have a legacy HDHomeRun Dual and when I ran the latest software it updated the firmware on my box. Now when I run the HDHomeRun software it says: no channels / scan required. I ran the hdhomerun_config_gui program and it can see the channels and gets good signal but scanning is not working correctly. When I hit 'view' on that app nothing pops up. Below is the terminal output from running the HDHomeRun app. I can't run the gui app from the terminal, so I don't have output for that.

Best,

Greg Conner

hdhomerun_config is still included with the latest Mac installer; it gets installed to /usr/local/bin.

In order to use the HDHomeRun Dual with the HDHomeRun app, you must first run a channel scan on it using HDHomeRun Setup on Windows. The scan from hdhomerun_config isn't enough.
