[Solved] Connect Quatro HDHR5-4DT DVB-C?

Post by Schmich »

Hello!
I read somewhere that this device is having Beta support for DVB-C and that future retail products will have it preinstalled.

My question is does SiliconDust know if the hardware itself will change between now and then? (i.e. the work needed is software only)

Just wondering if I should wait to get one or if I can already get it and play around with the beta firmware.

DVB-C support for the HDHR5-2DT/4DT models was included in the latest stable firmware version 20200907.

Yeah I saw it thanks. But I'm wondering if the hardware will change when they bring the changes to retail. Or if the plan is simply to ship with new firmware and packaging design.

Sometimes when you add functionality to a device you might realize that it's lacking something for an optimal operation.

The packaging is changing to mention DVB-C support.
