Re: List of Supported devices
I'll make sure to restart it when I get home later tonight. I thought I had restarted at least once since setting it to send such data but may not have watched a 3.0 channel since the last restart and I also briefly went back to a chromecast on the same tv to compare how snappy the UI seemed to be w...

Re: List of Supported devices
Currently using my new "ZW" ATSC3 STB picked up from CM. Just wanted to see if AC4 was processing correctly with the HDHomeRun app if anyone at SD cares to look. I may answer my own question as I look at other things on it but currently hooked only to a 2 speaker tv so a bit hard to tell. ...

Re: Encryption
The two are not in conflict... The supposed "Encoding Rules" are not real rules... just a virtually empty set of promises of what they would like the stations to do and can be changed at any moment (just takes a few brodacsters to change those encoding rules). Every one of those rules MUST...

Re: Chicago Finally, sadly DRM
Does anyone know if these channels are actually live? I did a channel scan today and didn't detect any ATSC 3.0 channels. Yes they are live as of yesterday. 102.1 WBBM-NG 105.1 WMAQ-NG 109.1 WGN-NG 132.1 WFLD-NG 166.1 WGBO-NG Thanks for confirming. I guess I need open a support ticket. I would post...

Re: Little to no channels detected. Anything I can do before throwing in the towel?
TVs are single tuner devices that wouldn't have an internal amp to compensate for that split to 2 or 4 tuners. Because the HDHomeRuns have to be able to tune up to 1GHz for possible connection to a cable system the LTE signals that now go down to 608MHz often overload that internal amplifier spittin...

Re: Little to no channels detected. Anything I can do before throwing in the towel?
You mentioned quality being low but not the strength... typically that close you really need to watch that you aren't over powering the device. I also strongly recommend one use an appropruate LTE filter as too often those signals overload the internal amplifier.

Re: HTTP API Documentation
For thar issie, as I mentioned, those would be channels above 100. (Edit: I should mention not counting the 5000 channels which to my knowledge shouldn't be an atsc3 channel)
libhdhomerun not http api.

Re: HTTP API Documentation
Typically, unless something like an atsc3 vs atsc1 issue, which would be known by channel number (atsc3 on hdhomerun adds 100) , that would most often mean your power supply is beginning to show its age as such wouldn't be normal without some hardware failure and power supply should be first thing t...

Re: Signal Strength App
Android you will have to search for an old apk and sideload such signal meter as its been my understanding Google took it down long ago for some reason iOS one can get signal gh (paid product) One thing you can do in a pinch is tune the channel on your pc and open the status.json from your phone but...

Re: Current state of Apple TV app
Never say never, but unless cablecard rules change or apple has an official method to ensure/require hdcp to render such type of stream, most likely it won't happen. There used to be some things that may have allowed a 640x480 output with some forms of drm requirements when hdcp isn't present but th...

Re: Current state of Apple TV app
What about DRM on the Apple TV app works on the iPhone shouldn’t it be the same on the tvos? The HD Homerun does not support DRM yet so that is not available on any app, including the iPhone app. That isn't true... as mentioned DRM works on iOS but not the DRM you are thinking about but rather DRM ...

Re: Samsung Tizen AC-4
Typically the only sets that handle ac4 are from lg. Some others with atsc 3 tuners may also handle it but often only when the source is the tuner not streams.

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
Record engines have to detect eachother so either something is blocking that (can be via ipv4 or ipv6, I've seen some vpn's play nicely with ipv4 for local traffic, but need to exclude apps if detected via ipv6 as it will send all nonbroadcast traffic out the vpn connection) or occasionally I think ...

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
It doesn't state that... early it mentions only Dolby Digital Plus and atmos. When ac4 is mentioned it is for the Channels App which wouldn't support built in ac4 regardless (nor pass through such as mentioned) as channels "always" supports ac4 as they have built in the modified ffmpeg to ...
