Re: Across Multiiple Networks
Most hotels sign deals with pay TV providers because guests expect consistent reception and certain "must have" channels like The Weather Channel, CNN, ESPN and some of the kids channels like Nick, CN and/or Disney. The basic ones just provide what the local cable system has, although with...

Re: ATSC 1 over ATSC 3
The HDHomeRun adds 100 to the virtual numbers of ATSC 3.0 channels. i.e. ATSC 1.0 KSTP is 5.1, ATSC 3.0 KSTP is 105.1 The web interface's lineup page has a "DRM" icon next to DRM protected channels, you can disable the channel by clicking the star next to the number multiple times until it...

Re: How do I see the signal strength?
Unfortunately the developer abandoned it back in 2018, so the last version of Android that it worked with is 9/Pie.
It is open source, however newer versions of Android changed the APIs it used, so much of the code needs to be rewritten.

lowered the Power of 12.1 and 49.1 and now I cannot even Pick those up where they use to come in crystal clear If you're talking about KPTV Portland, they were granted permission to move from VHF 12 to UHF 21 , but in order to complete that move, they they have to replace their existing VHF antenna...

RabbitEars relies on reports from local viewers, especially in markets like Phoenix where no one is contributing data to their live bandscan.

Re: What's the difference between the FDFX-4K and the TECH5-4K
The 2022 date on the TV Fool output is misleading, the FCC data set they have is actually from 2017. I just tried a generic San Francisco report from TV Fool, it's still listing all the pre-repack RF numbers. It still lists KOFY's 568 kW signal from Sutro even though they sold their spectrum and hav...

Re: What's the difference between the FDFX-4K and the TECH5-4K
FYI, TVFool's data import broke in 2018 when the FCC made changes to their database to indicate spectrum sharing, so you're looking at highly outdated pre-repack predictions, and many early spectrum stations are missing entirely from their results. Most stations changed RF numbers and others took ad...

I'm having a hard time understanding what to do, I'm sure I'm just entering something wrong. Is this the correct url for Tivimate? My epg123 server is on my main desktop at 192.168.1.48 http://192.168.1.48:9009/C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\output\hdhr2mxf.xmltv You have to use "http://192.168...

Re: XMLTV guide data
My point still stands. If the widely used tv_grab_na_dd and tv_grab_zz_sdjson grabbers that are bundled as part of the official XMLTV project lists Movie/Series last, their software shouldn't expect it to always be the first category. They should look for the presence of those categories to determin...

Re: XMLTV guide data
Which specific software requires the movie/series category to be first? It goes against what xmltv.org's grabbers do, so you should probably file a bug report with the devleopers of your software. Mythtv is the big one that requires the presence of a series or movie category, and is the reason why t...

Re: XMLTV guide data
Some software like Kodi only uses the first category to do things like EPG genre colors for News, Children, Action, Sports, Comedy, Drama, Reality, Game Shows, etc. Putting Series or Movies first broke that functionality. So ideally, the added "Series" or "Movies" category should...

Re: US OTA channel scans to 51
RF 38-51 is still in use for some LPTV signals and translators and in other ATSC countries like Canada.
