Re: Android TV 12 Round App Icons

Add added round icons to the HDHomeRun app some time ago. Verified on Android 14.

Are you seeing an issue?

Re: AppleTV App Cannot See HDHR-US

The xmltv API requires a DVR TV guide subscription and requires that the client accept gzip encoding.

Try replacing "xmltv" with "guide" to see the first 4 hours of TV guide without special requirements.

Re: AppleTV App Cannot See HDHR-US

HDHR-2US should work for live TV viewing with the HDHomeRun app for Apple TV.

It isn't part of our standard test rotation - I will set up a test here to be sure.

From my understanding of the requirements it isn't possible for an app on a Samsung TV to meet requirements. I plan to ask A3SA for clarification.

Re: Connect 4K, display ATSC 1.0 simulcast if ATSC 3.0 DRMd?

For Live TV it will tune the specific channel you request.

When recording the HDHomeRun DVR will fall back to recording ATSC 1.0 if it can't record from ATSC 3.0 (unless you explicitly force the channel in the recording rule).

Re: Encryption

Got it. Thank you. Is there a particular reason why it couldn't do the same for live TV also? 1) Recording works by TV show/episode so it only matters that it is the same episode, not that the channel is 100% the same. 2) Thinking it would be confusing if you select channel 102.1 and it tunes or ju...

Re: Encryption

Speaking of that first post in this thread, about the Flex 4K under the ATSC 3.0 DRM: subheading, it says "If an ATSC 3.0 channel is DRM encrypted the HDHomeRun FLEX 4K will use the ATSC 1.0 version of the channel." I just tested this on my Flex 4K by tuning to ATSC 3.0 DRM'd channel 107....

Re: HDHomeRun RECORD time source on Windows DVR?

The HDHomeRun DVR does not use the local clock for recordings so it doesn't matter how it is set. Instead it uses a free-running timer and the UTC time it gets from our servers. The HDHomeRun app applies your local timezone offset for displaying times. While it won't affect recordings the log report...

Re: Black screen with "Audio only", etc.

We just confirmed and fixed an issue where you might get a black screen audio-only message when the broadcaster is sending multiple PMTs on the same PID. The situation is timing sensitive and not seen on all devices. I don't know if this is the problem you are experiencing but I would recommend inst...
