Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
It doesn't state that... early it mentions only Dolby Digital Plus and atmos. When ac4 is mentioned it is for the Channels App which wouldn't support built in ac4 regardless (nor pass through such as mentioned) as channels "always" supports ac4 as they have built in the modified ffmpeg to ...

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
How did you do it? Can you give the details on how the ONN decoded DRM in the HR4K??? He must be talking about recording NON DRM channels. Because there's no way his ONN device decoded DRM. I read a review on cord cutters and they claim it can https://cordcuttersnews.com/hdhomeruns-atsc-3-0-nextgen...

Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
There isn't anything to reset... closest you can do is remove rf input and run a scan to clear the channel map which isn't anything you would want to do in this case. However you may have luck with restarting hdhr and/or router. I had seen a couple of routers that performed similar... one was not li...

Re: List of Supported devices
This is beginning to be the first firetv stick I've liked in a long time, hdhomerun app seems really snappy just wish firetv devices supported cablecard drm then it easily "could" replace most of my other android/Google tv boxes/sticks/dongles. I'll be trying the regular (non max) one next...

Re: List of Supported devices
MAT not necessarily supports AC4 but it is used for Atmos and I believe transcoding... the codecs list AC3 (Dolby Digital) / EAC3 (Dolby Digital Plus) / Atmos(DDP+JOC) / AC4(Atmos) / Dolby TrueHD (Atmos) Just getting HDHomeRun installed on my new 4k Max and trying out the ATSC 3 channels... though n...

Re: Feature Request: Manual Tuning
What are you trying to accomplish... the app probably never will as it relies on the channel list generatedby the scan, they have also been pretty much against adding a feature to manually add channels to such scan. You can always tune such with the http api by specifying ch rather than v for the ch...

Re: List of Supported devices
The new FireTV 4K and 4K max that were announced today should also handle AC4 according to specs... I have my max on order but I don't think they are delivering until the 27th or 29th but in the past I have got some a couple days early.

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
Sorry, but many of us can't receive a lot of the old atsc 1 channels because some are on a low VHF channel or on a transmitter from another direction. Most of the atsc 3 channels are on a powerfull transmitter in a single location that most can pull in. We all don't have the advantage of getting al...

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
Yes there are different requirements for gateway devices... until a few months ago that was basically the same with STBs in that STBs and gateway devices both required internet access... now STBs at least have an option of not requiring internet access just like TVs (but so far that option is coming...

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
Where were you looking as it has shown up as such for me for a few weeks as DRM at rabbitears.info... Whenever I check locals there, I look up the market listing (ie a google search for kpho site:rabbitears.info as that is easiest station id for me to remember for phoenix) and click the link then cl...

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
Note that certified devices page is for those that also include security verification so that will probably need to wait until encryption support is available. They also may need to add a Gateway category as I would consider a receiver a STB that plugs into your TV, not a gateway device that serves ...

That is a good start, frequent categories I have that didn't appear to be there are sports and special... and at glance you also appear to be missing some properties that would be specific for sports such as Team1 and Team2.
Note to others: not all properties are always used

Re: HTTP API Documentation
Your first link is the official one. Things not covered in that aren't published/documented. Though you can discover through http, that is based on essentially going to api.hdhomerun.com/discover looking where that redirects to and then also change ipv4- to ipv6- as most wll connect to SD through ip...
