Re: ATSC 3.0: Seattle / Tacoma - Jan 2021

Watching Chiefs/Browns, anyone else noticing the audio going from quiet to loud randomly? Listened on my PC during parts of it and didn't notice any change. It is interesting that the audio on the PC is now even for two speakers instead of just the left side. It is still shoved in the front left ch...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Seattle / Tacoma - Jan 2021

Funny you ask. I did a closer look: - I can tune 105 with ChannelsDVR, but I can't tune it with the HDHR Win10 app. - I cannot tune 113 with either app. - I cannot tune 116 with either app. - I cannot tune 122 with either app. I don't really watch KONG or JoeTV so I didn't notice until now :). So i...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Seattle / Tacoma - Jan 2021

Just got the Connect 4k yesterday. I've got it hooked up to my existing setup with Channels DVR. I'm running the 20210105 firmware. A few observations: - KCPQ's atsc3 feed has 100% strength/signal quality/symbol quality, but the stream appears to have no data based on the Channels DVR logs, and tun...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Phoenix

Just received my tuner today, but my channel list is only showing a few channels as HEVC (15.1, 33.1, 35.1, and 61.1) and I'm unable to play any of them across my devices (windows 10, android, iOS). I've updated to the latest available firmware (20210105). Is there something else I need to do to ge...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Seattle / Tacoma - Jan 2021

Wanted to add, man ATSC 3.0 is so much more stable, during our massive crazy rain/wind storm I left tv on for the heck of it. And I didnt have one drop out. In the past on ATSC 1.0 it would get macroblocking and all that with just a little breeze (because of the huge fir trees between me and the to...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Seattle / Tacoma - Jan 2021

A new capture of v151.1 in Seattle would help our testing if someone local is able to help... http://hdhomerun.local:5004/auto/v151.1?format=dbg&duration=120 Replace "hdhomerun" with the device ID if you have more than one HDHomeRun. Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham - Jan 2021

Thanks. Looks like some of the samples use 5_X_codec_mode=ASPX while others use 5_X_codec_mode=ASPX_ACPL_3 I don't currently have the knowledge to assign meaning to that other than "they are different". If you looked at the NBC & FOX (CH31 - plays correctly now), yes they should be different than A...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

Can anyone share samples from the stations which are not channel mapping correctly? Lots of samples have been shared with the team from different markets. It may be the second issue specified here: Audio content issues: There are two different issues with similar symptoms where it sounds like the c...

Re: List of Hardware and Software that Supports Dolby AC-4

So I have an odd question. On my Galaxy s20 5G via Emby I can watch Fox 13 direct stream and I have audio and I did confirm its using HEVC. But if I use my Nvidia shield via emby I have no audio. What's the difference? I understand there's no support for ac4 via ffmpeg but why does it work on my Ga...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Seattle / Tacoma - Dec 15th launch

Installed latest update on android tv. KOMO and KIRO have picture, but no sound. KUNS has black screen no data available. Tried to install latest update on FireTV, but it says that the app is corrupted and would not install. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and now it won't reinstall a...

Re: AC-4 Audio?

The 12-29 app update for Nvidia Shield has fixed the crashing when switching from the SAP audio our stations default to, to the 5.1 english audio. For my (non atmos) receiver that shoves the dialog into the left surround channel (on my pc in stereo it shoves in the left site) but the audio-switch cr...

Re: AC-4 Audio?

I don't seen anything in that statement about Plex needing an update to work with the ATSC 1.0 channel in this workaround. It is certainly possible but Plex currently lists the channels HDHR device shows it. It will display whatever the HDHR lists. So, without a statement to the contrary, my expecta...

Re: AC-4 Audio?

Nickk said they will move ATSC 3 to 100+ so plex should work without problem. That'd be nice -- assuming what he originally said no longer applies :) Plex should work without issue with the workaround specified as it is simply additional channels, not some new way to select a channel and then selec...
