Do you get a pop-up error message?
Can you please turn on "send diagnostic information" in the settings menu and double-check the Speaker Configuration option is set to Digital Passthrough... then post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun.

Re: Encryption
Apple TV does not support Widevine or DTCP2 - it will not work for ATSC 3.0 DRM protected channels.
Apple TV 4K models support all ATSC 3.0 unencrypted formats. The problem is specific to ATSC 3.0 DRM.

Re: Usability Issue - Buttons too Close - iPad App
We have an internal meeting tomorrow - I will bring this up.
The OSD bar is optimized for a remote rather than touch and is designed to not hinder other people viewing the TV at the same time. It could be improved for phones and tablets.

Re: Kickstarter Flex4K
The difference is the USB port.
The CONNECT 4K from Kickstarter is 100% identical to the FLEX 4K with nothing connected to the USB port.
With FLEX you can connect a USB hard drive and that enables the built in record engine.

Re: Encryption
Recording DRM isn't the problem. The thing that A3SA is making difficult is streaming via a network to popular player devices.

Re: Recording metadata - TPeterson
The SeriesID we use is a composite of 3 different things from the GN data... the format is:
"C"
seriesID value from GN (integer)
language code (2 characters uppercase)
hash of the title (4 characters uppercase)

Re: Recording metadata - TPeterson
Everything is grouped by series. For example top-level-recorded shows the series and going into it shows the episodes within that series. Recording rules work by series. "Top Gear" (UK) and "Top Gear" (USA) have the same name but different SeriesIDs to tell them apart for recordi...

Re: Help understanding Rogue ATSC 3.0 Channel?
Sinclair's T2 channel is an ATSC 3.0 internet channel. To receive it you need both the antenna feed and internet. The updating manifest and the stream information comes from the broadcast, the audio and video data comes from the internet. If you unplug the antenna or the internet the channel will st...
