Re: ATSC 3.0 WTTK (RF15) Indianapolis, IN

IX is interference. The percent change is the same as calculating the percent change in anything, take the difference between the numbers and divide by the original. (1626482-1618640)/1626482 = .0048, or 0.48%. This doesn't make sense. Every time you do a study you can make a new 0.5% of the popula...

Re: Using apps with HDHR devices from a different network using UDP proxy

The easiest way to try it is to run this on the same machine you are running the app. The local DVR engine can not not be active. You will need to stop/remove it.

It gives you access to only one device so you can have multiple scripts and activating them depending what do you need access to.

Re: Please remove the "same network" restriction in Windows app

you never mentioned any proxies :o can we get full details? Well, duhh. How did you think I was getting the tuner, on a VLAN, to respond to the broadcast. I think, as a super geek, you just concentrated really hard and it would happen. That's why you wanted to keep the details to yourself. I was pl...

Re: ATSC 3.0 WTTK (RF15) Indianapolis, IN

I am having trouble reading the study.
Is IX interference?
Why so many scenarios?
Wouldn't it be sufficient to present only the worst scenario? Bureaucrats clearly like paper. ;)

Please explain how do we get 0.48 for the New IX here.

Re: ATSC 3.0 WTTK (RF15) Indianapolis, IN

They can't. They already took advantage of the maximization window to increase their power to 450 kW from their originally assigned 398 kW, but they can't increase it any further as it would cause more than 0.5% interference to WXIX in Cincinnati and more than 2% interference to upper-adjacent WDNI...

Re: OTA recording has multiple video streams

I've put the first 30 seconds of the TS file (cut using ffmpeg) here: https://km6g.us/75729.ts You should get the full mux. There are instructions on this forum on how to do that. Do not cut using ffmpeg as it changes pids. Get tsreader if you are on windows or tsduck otherwise. Check the output.

Re: OTA recording has multiple video streams

You should analyze the stream with TSReader (or upload the stream for nick to analyze ;) The info captured by rabbitears.info on 11/16/2020 does not show any issues(the other stream in your mux is probably WMBQ-CD) https://www.rabbitears.info/market.php?request=print_station&facility_id=18795 ht...

Re: Which 4k TV can run the official full featured HDHomeRun app

Thanks sdust for the link. $4200+ is a bit pricey. So my question is does one need a ATSC 3.0 TV for the TV to play through the HDHomeRun DVR app say a recorded 4k ATSC 3.0 broadcast? My Windows 10 computer had to download from the Microsoft Store HEVC compression encoders to play content recorded ...

Re: Which 4k TV can run the official full featured HDHomeRun app

You are talking about ATSC 3.0 televisions. emmm, no. the TV OTA reception ability is irrelevant here. All the TV needs to be able to do is run HDHR app. The original poster specified ATSC 3.0 TVs. Which 4k TVs (ATSC 3.0) are capable (by themselves) of running that app? G1 from the current lineup h...

TiVo feature parity or bust.

Is there a plan to provide feature parity with TiVo for recordings/captions at least? I am not talking about grid program guide ;)
