Re: Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
I think I figured it out. When I manually set up my time zone to Pacific Time, I got the correct date string. But when set to my eastern time zone (or EST), it took that as Estonia region instead. What a mess up!

Re: Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
Tried a few different region settings/countries. They all end up with the US version of date, e.g. Jan 1, 2021. The only exception is when selected United States, it ends up with Estonia date strings. While on the topic of ATV app, my another usability complaint: On other platforms' apps, whenever I...

Re: Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
is it happening for this one recording, a group of them or all of them? Is this a new behaviour or something that has always occurred on your atv unit? It is this way for HDHR app from day one when recordings are supported IIRC. All recordings all time. I saw some other ppl reported the same thing ...

Re: Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
Under Settings->General What are the settings for Language and Region And also the settings for Timezone? Try also setting timezone manually rather than auto? See my replied details above. Time zone auto or manual doesn't matter. The only settings affects it is Region and United States will always ...

Re: Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
Already checked long time ago, I'm on: Apple TV Language: English Region: US TimeZone: Auto (New York). Sounds like the app is reading a bogus locale setting. Update: I switched region to UK and the date display shows as Jan 9, 2021: although now in English but I'm pretty sure that's incorrect regio...

Re: Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
Ok, so the app no longer crashes this morning. I managed to take this screen shot for the language problem https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3fVvvhVbc0HJL1hFCfq-KRA0vGiv8s36gwl1NpNVEtyw8g_xgeawQo-F__88KgDTHyF_GORaiBSCBzwi5KmLbsBCq4G1KwOI5UeH2pCAeRxaDxAl4cAeq5WhRq9kXV-f3hONrRxri_FpN3J9nWWWbY-...

Re: Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
I think this has been reported before. Mine shows the same thing. It is in recorded show details IIRC. But since we can't open any recorded shows, it is now a moot point.

Re: Could I have overloaded the tasks?
I found that in the browser address bar, you must prepend http://. Otherwise, it will always go to external DNS which for majority of ISPs, they will capture all unresolved the addresses.

Apple TV 4K app Crash when open any recordings
Updated my Apple TV 4K to the latest 14.4 release. Now HDHR app will crash to home screen whenever I try to open any recordings.
The HDHR app is on the latest update 20210126 IIRC.

If you mean channel scan, all you need is your browser. No other software needed unless you have some real old tuners that have no proper support of the modern features.

Re: HDHomeRun Prime compatible with new Cox upgrades?
All you need is a standalone video card. As mentioned before, H.264 + DRM + Intel integrated GPU + WMC = never will work, nor your Ceton extenders. It is well known for quite a few years now when Comcast first rolled out the similar 'upgrade'. Get an nVidia or AMD video card will solve your WMC PC p...

Re: are multiple network switches an issue?
You can just PING your Prime tuner IP address from your PC and see what it is time it took. Anything over 7ms will break DRM IIRC. But for a home LAN, you shouldn't see anything over 1ms, let along over 7ms. FYI, I have 4 switches and still the PING time is <= 1ms.
