Re: Questions about setting up hardware

I watched a YouTube video about the Prime. The narrator stated that the Prime must be connected to the router by cable. For me that would mean running a cable from the living room into the utility room. Is it not possible to connect the Prime to the router wirelessly? Would I need a second Prime to...

Re: A list of 50 Inch Smart TV's that support HDHomerun would be great !!!!

Hi, Thank you for the info you are providing me. I have been looking at the brands you have spoken of, but not sure if they support DRM, or even support HDhomerun view, even though they say Android TV's Skyworth? I never heard of that brand... Hisense, I am cautious of, as I am not familiar with it...

Re: A list of 50 Inch Smart TV's that support HDHomerun would be great !!!!

Is DRM playback important? That would rule out the Fire TV Edition TVs. Sony, Sharp, Philips, Skyworth, and Hisense have TVs running Android TV that presumably should work. I haven't used most of them enough to give a recommendation other than it's probably best to avoid any Sony TVs pre-2019 or th...

Re: A list of 50 Inch Smart TV's that support HDHomerun would be great !!!!

Thank you both for the quick reply and information you have both have provided. It seems difficult to find many Android TV's. Should I trust FireTV/ or FireStick as my concern is that Amazon may turn around and terminate HDhomerun support at any time. Overall I am looking to have DRM support on the...

Yes, you'll get one email when the order is marked as completed in the shop, and another later that day from Fedex with tracking information.
Ok, will they be shipped soon? I thought they would be ready by June 30th?

Re: A list of 50 Inch Smart TV's that support HDHomerun would be great !!!!

Hello, If anyone can provide info on 50-55 inch Smart TV models that support HDHomerun it would be greatly appreciated. We are looking to buy a new Ultra HD Smart TV, but want to make sure it works with HDHomerun Prime/ Viewer Thanks Again! The only ones I know of are the ones that run AndroidTV (m...

Re: Questions about setting up hardware

Yes a Shield will work "between" your Prime and the TV, as well as other Android TV Boxes*. A Windows 10 computer will work "between". An Xbox One will work in between. A FireTV*** device will work "between"**. A Linux computer running Kodi will work**. A Roku APP is still being developed and right ...

Re: Questions about setting up hardware

I agree with Ned, but a few things he left out, He mentioned the Fire Stick, He is correct as it being one of the cheapest ways to stream HDHomerun and streaming APPS, but if you do go down that road a few things you should know. 1, I would go with the FireTV dongle and not the stick, More reliable....

Re: Live tab on Fire TV

Nickk has mentioned that HDHomerun APP is setup to be used in that, but Amazon has to allow it, So at this point it's best to ask Amazon if or when they will allow it.

I just noticed in the new info pages, under Prime 6 it states "hope to release in 2019".... this is disheartening.

This also happens on my FTV3 (pendant) with the new UI.
Mine still has the same bug. not an issue for me as the only sports recording I have in there is the superb0wl and can get to it from ALL RECORDINGS. but if I had a ton of recordings there I could see it being annoying.

Re: HDHomeRun SCRIBE & SERVIO is there a method to transfer video off the device to longterm storage? Also Guide Questio

You can still use HDHomerun without the guide/DVR subscription. There are other ways to have free DVR, AndroidTVs Live Channels come to mind. But the Scribe and Servio will only work with HDHomerun DVR* which requires the subscription.

*unless SD changes it and opens it for 3rd party storage.

Re: Channels DVR + DRM

This is the type of thing I had mentioned in past posts that SD should do, allow other sources into their APP. Although I am not a Channels subscriber due to the fact I already subscribe to SD, have a lifetime Plex Pass, and paid for a year of Emby Premier to test it out, the cost of another DVR ser...
