Can you explain what you meant by doesn't render... I have a servio and it "renders" just fine as it is a RecordEngine thus it returns the discover.json as any other engine. As for version, the servio would be different as the "engine" does not report a version like other engines as it is not upgrad...

The channel numbers you are mentioning are virtual... they don't tell you where they are and what type of interference the channel would most likely be susceptible to. In your case, 376 is on physical channel 5 (79 Mhz) but channel 375 or 377 may not even be close to that.

If it does manage to "stop" a recording, the tuner would still not be released.

My servio also "always" gets used for live streams... and usually gets used for recording even when I ensure I have larger free space elsewhere (though currently it has the most in the main storage location until I move things to secondary storage locations)

As many here will attest, what I like isn't "normal" but I still often believe is best. I still don't want my "viewer" to schedule/manage... use better tools for the job and not detract from enjoying watching the show when it comes time to watch...
