Zoom

I know it had been brought up before but a quick search for "zoom" shows its been over a month (near beginning of april) since mentioned. I noticed tonight that a few (sd) stations were boxed (16x9 content in 4x3 display area, most shows on these channels are 4x3) and the zoom button didn't work on ...

Phoenix 15.4 Court TV

Going through channels tonight and saw that my 2 quatros had the guide data wrong for 15.4 Court TV (identifies as COURTV in scan for name). The guide data shows a logo and data for Escape... when I checked zap, it was correct there. (we have escape on 35.4/61.4 which seems to be correct). I know ba...

Re: Playback stops

There could be a number of issues. Personally I would start with the network and run a low level packet loss test (see https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5877 , particularly the second post in that thread). My personal preference would be all wired devices (including AP/router)...

Re: Does Prime work with DRM and DVR on TCL Toku TV?

Only TV to work "seamlessly" (without another device) would need to be android based (such as the sony) but I would still plan on needing another device which connects via hdmi to "any" tv. The DVR does not (currently) support DRM. Amazon devices don't work with DRM (currently - amazon would need to...

Re: Fedora Terminal Login

What device? Most cable systems now encrypt all channels (which would require a prime with cablecard) and only include a channel to tell you to get equipment...

The "terminal" is just the output of a screen at the cable company... nothing for you to do with it.

Re: How to use openmediavault NAS with hdhomerun DVR

It may be best to do what NedS mentioned. For SD's installer to work, the NAS has to have upnp (dlna) enabled to be discovered.

But there are other issues that can pop up for that installer to work such as having /tmp mounted as noexec.

Re: Mi box vs jetstream box

I happen to like the jetstream, for me, no real issues. When the mibox first came out, it was the only device I would trust using via wifi, updates to that, as well as subsequent "model" releases, have since crippled such for me but for some they are working again however, I prefer wired connections...

Re: Install without active internet connection.

Yes, but what device, and version of windows, and what are you trying to accomplish... for "drivers" you will get the full windows software package (not just app) but apps using the modern method of tuning don't need drivers. Most apps require an internet connection for full functionality and legacy...

Re: New here, general questions

1) no... or at least not exactly... you may encounter a red dot but that means it is a candidate, not what is being recorded. 2) Only way to "cancel" is to "shut" everything down, and take the tuners away with something else before it grabs them again 3) again, the red dot you may encounter indicate...

Re: Using Prime and Quatro on the same system

FCC requires cablecards to support at least 4 streams and if they offer a box that supports more, the cablecard must also support more (motos which verizon uses always supported 4 unless it was an early s-card which is single stream, older cablecard firmware on Cisco's only supported 2 but hasn't be...

Re: Using Prime and Quatro on the same system

The better question would be why is your prime only getting 2 tuners... it should be 3. WMC (by default) only allows 4 tuners of a given type. However ota, clear qam, and cablecard are the different types so even without any addons to increase tuner limit, there should not be an issue.

Re: Windows 10 App - Unable to find HDHomeRun

With a "router" you are segregating you lan (making different networks)... an "access point" does not do that. Put it in bridge mode or at the very least connect your "ap" via a lan port, not wan port (i'd make sure to define the ip in the current range of your network, and probably also disable dhc...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

Personally for such, I would no longer have the share in the directory of the other... I used to do it this way without issue to archive things but it would also show "everything" twice when the other was running as an engine rather than just a share. (Note network shares in that manner are not supp...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

I have actually had "null" allow live tv in the past (my extra engines each have nullLiveTV as the path) but such behavior may have been fixed. I would like an option to prefer one for live tv while another for recording (i.e. a MaxLiveStreams setting) but most likely this would also need to be hand...

Most likely they have not provisioned correctly... moto or cisco area area? In some areas of spectrum the order they add equipment (which slots they are in) is important. In others it is important the TA sync up prior to connecting the usb cable while others need the connection first. If a cisco TA,...
