Re: silicon dust has a blog

We recently added blog infrastructure to our website so we can publish useful information and updates in a better format than the support forum.

The page you linked to seems to have been auto-generated by the blog infrastructure and was not intentional.

Re: Audio volume fluctuates

This is a new feature where the app detects stereo audio encoded as 5.1 and fixes the problem so your home theater system can upconvert properly. Much better result but there is a small delay in the detection.

Re: Sinclair Planning to Rollout ATSC 3.0 this year

Sinclair can roll to their heart's content. I'm not replacing a couple thousand $$$ worth of TVs and stuff for ATSC 3. Well, that's one good thing about being in the HDHomeRun ecosystem... You can keep using all the same TVs and your current HDHomeRun ATSC 1.0 tuner(s) and just add a HDHomeRun ATSC...

Re: Hard reboot normal?

Hi, 1) It looks like there is a record engine running on a Windows PC - recommend disabling the service in HDHomeRun Setup as you don't have a DVR subscription. 2) The signal levels are very strong (overpowered). It isn't causing a problem but the signal levels shouldn't be that high. If you are run...

Re: Hard reboot normal?

Confirming 20180817 is the latest. Stuttering usually points to a client side problem, or possibly a DVR problem if playing a recording. Can you please enable "send diagnostic information" in both the HDHomeRun tuner and the HDHomeRun app, then post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun. HDHomeR...

Re: Using Tablo with HDHOMERUN Duo

Hi,

The HDHomeRun makes channels available to any DVR on the network that supports HDHomeRun tuners.

I don't believe Tablo supports HDHomeRun tuners.

You can use the HDHomeRun DVR, Plex, Channels, Emby, etc for the DVR.

Hi,

Can you please enable "send diagnostic information" in the app (press play/pause 13 times to open the menu), then post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun.

Re: Any recourse? Back to stone age. Everything DRM now

BTW - if the CCI value fails to authenticate the host (HDHomeRun) is required to apply CCI=3 (copy-never). Getting CCI=2 means the card sent CCI=2 and it authenticated correctly.
