Re: Servio on non-windows, non-mac system

Hi, 1) You need the latest libhdhomerun download from here: https://www.silicondust.com/support/linux/ Download, extract, make, sudo make install This will install hdhomerun_config into /usr/local/bin - you need this new version to work with SERVIO even if you distro includes a version of hdhomerun_...

Re: Fire TV 4K HDHomeRun app issues

Hi, If you are using audio over HDMI and you turn off AC3 passthrough you should still get 5.1 audio. The HDHomeRun app auto-switches between stereo and 5.1 audio as needed. If you have a recording that reproduces the problem please upload it to something like Dropbox or Google Drive and PM me the l...

Re: Recordings on Scribe ?

The SCRIBE has a device webpage with basic DVR information including the amount of HDD space used.

More info would be good - I will raise the question internally.

If you are ok reading json you can get the list of recorded files by going to /recorded_files.json on the device.

Re: HDHomeRun\ log files

Hi,

It is important for the drives not to spindown as the spinup time is too slow to provide a good user experience.

BTW - the next release of the record engine will auto-delete log files older than 10 days.

Re: Account Information at Startup Windows 10

It is a new feature... If a new HDHomeRun device is found that isn't associated with your account it will show the account information page (also accessible under Settings) and add the device to your account. This won't pop up again next startup because the device has already been added. If a HDHome...

Re: This Device does not support sound

Odd - never seen that before on a computer that has audio support. There are a few audio properties you can set in Windows that might be worth checking... 1) Check the default audio device - make sure it is set to the HDMI adapter if that is how you are doing sound. Often the analog audio path will ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime - streaming stops after a few seconds

Hi, First, recommend upgrading the software on your Mac to the latest release: https://www.silicondust.com/support/downloads/ There is a record engine running on the Mac but no DVR service. I would recommend removing it to simplify testing... see the Uninstall instructions at the bottom of this page...

Re: Your HDHomeRun DVR wasn't found

Everything looks to be working.

I wonder if the message is a false trigger relating to there not being any recordings... I will have a test set up on Monday.

Re: 2 months trial dvr

Hi,

The 2 month free trial was a promotion which recently ended.

Suggest purchasing DVR access to try it out for a week, and if you don't decide to use it after trying it out you can get a refund by emailing support@silicondust.com

Re: Please UN-set 'Don't Fragment' bit

Thinking, it is normal for a router to drop (ie not forward) 255.255.255.255 broadcast packets unless you set up some form of custom forwarding rule.
