Silicondust Blog (3/30/2015) - go Texas!

Today we turned on a new server location - Dallas TX! We also turned on improved regional handling for guide images... Now when HDHomeRun VIEW or Kodi fetches the TV guide our servers figure out the closest server to your zipcode for images so images can be fetched with the lowest latency. If you ar...

Silicondust Blog (1/29/2015) - new web-servers

The HDTC-2EU model has been shelved.

The next model for UK/Europe will be the HDHR4-2DT - 2 tuner DVB-T/DVB-T2 (non transcode).

For unencrypted DVB-C the HDHR3-4DC (4 tuner DVB-C non transcode) is available today.

Silicondust Blog (9/12/2014) - MTR700 Tuning Adapters

It has been a crazy few weeks, with an interesting dilemma. We started seeing problems with MTR700 tuning adapters recently, but only with new installs. No error message, just wouldn't complete the authentication process. I have a MTR700 in my lab and it worked perfectly. Still, we had enough debug ...

Re: VideoLAN VLC

Looks like the stream that this method (wget) uses is not iTunes compatible. Does anyone know if this device will be able to save to an iTunes compatible format that will play on AppleTV without transcoding? The AppleTV does not support AC3 audio unfortunately. You could try using a transcoding app...

Re: Silicondust Blog (10/25/13) - Nick

Hi, I installed the latest beta firmware for the hdhomerun prime which is hdhomerun3_cablecard_firmware_20131126beta1. I installed it primarily because of the new favorites feature. However, the favorites only show up on quicktv. When I click favorites instead of channels from VLC or my sony dlna e...
