Exactly. The original question was if HDHomeRun tuners could be added as a source to that section, not Android TV's "Live Channels" app.

Re: Google TV and HDHomeRun Tuners

Google Officially re-branded Android TV with a new skin in Chromecast with Google TV and there is no live TV section. The new Chromecast device with Google TV does have a live TV section but it won't show up unless you have an active YouTube TV subscription. It's in the top menu right next to "For ...

You aren't the only one. It hasn't been working for me for a long time.

It gets saved if you do an upgrade. If you uninstall 18 then install 19 you'll probably lose all of the settings.

Re: Firewall advice - DVR

The instructions I linked tell you how to set the port in the hdhomerun.conf file. Linux: Add the following to hdhomerun.conf: Port=<port number> Then allow incoming TCP connections to this port number. You only set one port number in hdhomerun.conf. I don't know what the other one that you are seei...

I think you need to have a YouTube TV subscription to see the "Live" section.

Re: EDL/ComSkip discussion

I'm guessing at current it's impossible to automate the use of EDL files on a Scribe or Servio device? Any type of processing would have to be done manually right? Obviously I could put EDL files in a shared directory that is not a part of the Scribe or Servio, but I'm guessing I'd have to manually...

Re: Signal Strength on ALL channels

When you put in the device id don't include the special characters <>. Just use the numbers and letters.

You might be able to import the data into a spreadsheet and create a graph but I never tried doing anything like that.

Re: Signal Strength on ALL channels

hdhomerun_config.exe is in the C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun folder on my Win7 PC.

Edit: If you don't have it installed I believe it's included in the "HDHomeRun Software for Windows" available here:https://www.silicondust.com/support/downloads .

Re: Signal Strength on ALL channels

You can use the hdhomerun_config command line utility to run a channel scan and save the results in a text file. hdhomerun_config <deviceid> scan /tuner0 filename.txt The report looks like this: SCANNING: 587000000 (us-bcast:33) LOCK: 8vsb (ss=70 snq=71 seq=100) TSID: 0x09C3 PROGRAM 1: 57.1 WPSG PRO...

Re: FaveTV?

Once that happens, the listing should automatically appear like what happened with DABL when it launched on the DT3's of the CBS O&O's. Thanks for the input but in my 50+ years of life experience I haven't had much luck with waiting for things to just fix themselves. All I can do is report it to Si...
