Re: SD email Support

Try removing "www." from the address. While that may work, the OP is correct that on the contact page the info says www.silicondust.com, so either the contact page(s) need updates (likely?), or someone needs to look at their published MX records..... (I wonder if this is an artifact of the cloudfar...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

Can you post a link to the Comcast rate cards for us mere mortals? Everyone has to look up their own rate card (because the offers and pricing varies based on market). Go to https://www.xfinity.com/support/rate-card/ and enter your information to see *your* current rate card (and be aware that it c...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

OT... but locals are still mpeg2 There is at least one market that reportedly has started to transcode even the locals to H.264, presumably as part of their various delivery transitions. I know it seems almost laughable that they still distribute 480 content but that allows them to charge extra for ...

Nevermind, just realized that is the episode name. LOL
Which are tame compared to some of the Mr. Robot titles (which I think I remember caused some interesting issues with some apps due to their filetypes).

Re: Guide and Discover appear to be down

Working on a tweak to the automated update process to ensure it doesn't happen again. I take it the automated process failed to issue the nginx reload, or systemctl restart apache2/httpd, or equivalent? One of the positive things I found when starting to use letsencrypt for ssl certificates for som...

Re: Live TV - Unable to view single channel

At some point, the only approach is to file yet another FCC complaint (and if you have a neighbor with a T-device or a HDHR, and they have the same problem, have them open yet another FCC complaint (the more the merrier?)). Which does not mean it gets resolved faster, but it does make sure Charter i...

Well, except for the VPU bug that impacts some people with some specific (OTA) stations. I saw one report the VPU bug is fixed in Turing (I have no way to test that report).

which unfortunately I am missing some recordings due to a temporary weak signal until things switch over at the end of the month. In order to (safely) do work on transmitter facilities, often the broadcasters will either move to their backup transmitters, and/or reduce power. These changes can even...

Thanks! Hopefully I can remember to delete my systemd timer service definition.

Hi,

Just wondering if it would be trivial enough to compile a version of RECORD for Illumos-based OS? OmniOS, OpenIndiana, SmartOS, etc.

They make a mean file server.

Thanks :D
Have you tried to run the linux executable in a LX (linux) zone? *Might* just work.

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

so at that point, it's easier to just focus on the Prime 6, which would likely have been replacing the Prime 3 anyway. You forgot about the (mythical) "Prime 4 transcoder" (which would have been offered in a timeline a number of years ago after the Prime 3, and before the Prime 6) which would have ...

Re: Who has working cable channels in Roku?

Correction. No cable channels working on Spectrum in Columbus, Ohio via HDPrime CC. Only broadcast channels working. This is to be (somewhat) expected, as Charter in L-TWC areas requires a full protected path for everything other than the local (and typically the PEG) channels, and as mentioned tha...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime - streaming stops after a few seconds

A common issue for streaming stopping after a second or so is that channel requires a full protected path, and your path no longer qualifies (sometimes a video driver update loses the authorization, sometimes it is more complicated). Typically the request by SD will be to turn on tuner and applicati...

Is there a way to remove or ignore a channel or channels from a channel scan from one particular HDHomeRun tuner? If you are using the SiliconDust ecosystem for channel access, you can go to the tuner channel list and mark the channel(s) you don't want it to use as disabled (first click is mark it ...

Re: Please UN-set 'Don't Fragment' bit

It seems odd that your router is dropping DF frames when it doesn't need to fragment - if confirmed this seems like a fault in the router. Likewise it shouldn't be ignoring the DF flag - if it needs to fragment and the DF flag is set it should drop as requested by the sender. Actually, it should ty...
