Re: Bug found in 6/21/2019 windows software

I tried the same test on one of my gen2 boxes and my HDHR4 and got the same results TPeterson did: a string of s's when recording a single subchannel on the gen2 and dots on all the other tests. So I'm pretty sure you'd get the same results using a legacy HDHR on one of your local channels. I haven'...

Re: atsc 3.0

To repeat what I said some time ago (probably scrolled off by now), Saankhya Labs SL3000 chip is a Software Defined Radio demodulator that can handle most of the world's terrestrial broadcast/cable formats and some satellite formats as well. From their page, the formats are: Terrestrial - ATSC 3.x, ...

Re: Windows 7 WMC HDHR3-US

If you're dead set against paying anything for a guide service, you could try HDHR-VCR . You can program it like a VCR, setting channel, start time and end time or duration. Better yet, you can use it with TitanTV , a free online guide service that offers a record button for each show. That sends th...

Some DisplayPorts don't support HDCP. Try disconnecting that monitor and see if DRM shows play on the HDMI one.

Re: CBS - FIOS and OTA pixelation? Strange.

Do you have a non-HDHR tuner such as a digital TV? If so, when you watch CBS (WIVB, 4.1) directly on that, do you still have the pixelation problem? What about CW (WNLO, 23.1) on the TV or through the HDHR? According to RabbitEars they're both broadcast in 1080i on the same RF channel (36), along wi...

Re: HDHomeRun DVR - DRM Recording & Playback

I think SD has learned that it's best not to make promises they might not be able to keep. Certainly they had hoped to be able to offer DRM recording before now. Meanwhile you can hedge your bets by installing EPG123 on WMC, which requires a subscription to Schedules Direct. If you plan to upgrade t...

Re: Symbol Quality Bouncing

I have a Connect Quatro HDHR5-4US with reception that has been solid for a year until recently. 12.1 WJTV-HD in Jackson, MS is one channel that is giving me trouble. The channel has signal strength of 93%, signal quality of 100%, symbol quality of 100% and then every 30 sec or so the symbol quality...

Re: poor signal quality until box is restarted

I'm glad you posted the pictures. One problem you will certainly have in the future if you don't already is that your cables are just hanging loose from the antennas. When they flap in the breeze the antenna connections will eventually tear loose. That may already be causing some of your variable re...

Re: Trouble tuning PBS High Def channels Boston

Maybe I'm using the site wrong, but..... I am in ZIP 01757, I do not see the info you posed (Thanks for the site, BTW!) I used the market listing for Boston which lists all of the stations in the market, both virtual and real channels. An arrow between real channels (example: 38 → 4) means the stat...

Re: Trouble tuning PBS High Def channels Boston

According to RabbitEars, 2.1 and 44.1 are on RF 5 (both 1080i) along with 24.1 (WFXZ, 480i) while 2.2, 2.3, 44.2, 44.3 and 44.4 (all 480i) are on RF 32, along with 15.1 (WBTS, NBC, 1080i) and 15.2 (Cozi, 480i). Many people would have trouble receiving RF 5 because they don't have an antenna designed...

Re: TVJunkieMOD (Record, Request, Playback, Favorites +)

The last post in this thread is over a year old and the latest version of the mod I'm aware of (26) is older yet. I was using it on a Raspberry Pi, currently running Kodi 17.6. It worked well until I upgraded my HDHR4-2US's firmware to 20180817 from 20150826 to see what Premium TV looked like. After...

Re: Forum Improvements?

Quote citations definitely can work in we_universal. Look at this page in the French Car Forum, which is running phpBB 3.2.2 and we_universal 2.5.6-b1 or later (latest is 2.5.6-b3 dated 8/1/2018) by v12mike. A quotation shows the poster and the date/time of the post. There's also an up-arrow next to...

Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers

In your PVR client in the Recordings section I do see series episode names but there are no episode numbers listed. Is there any way to show the episode numbers with episode names? Lots of posts! Will check them all ASAP. For this one, yeah ... I can absolutely add that as an option. Any particular...
