Re: Dvr will not record in live mode

It's not really recommended because our system prefers full recordings, but it should work. Will it record what's in the buffer? It's been said by SD personnel that such a feature is to be included in SDs software. It may be less relevant of a feature at this point in time as people do much less li...

Re: Slice pulls out two slots rather than one on a button press - mcewinter

I can confirm the issue that I described is fixed. I can also confirm that when slice is pulled out to see the description of the current show and you "peruse" up or down that it pulls in, then back out with every button press. It used to just stay pulled out. While I thank you for fixing the issue...

Re: Slice pulls out two slots rather than one on a button press - mcewinter

Alright, I'm seeing it now. Given that we're using the one pull out for show description, this can be annoying. Adding to list. This does NOT appear to be fixed in the latest release. It's not. I am currently updating the changelog any time we push out a new fix or feature. We haven't covered this ...

Re: PLEASE go back to old UI until this is ready

Slice still sucks. It's not useless but it's not useful either. I've never been one to cry for a standard guide but slice wasn't awesome to begin with. Now it's worse.

Re: Slice pulls out two slots rather than one on a button press - mcewinter

To add to this: All I'm trying to accomplish is to peruse the slice guide like it was before in what seems like 'days of old' now. Since then, slice has been defaulted to be pulled in by popular demand(?). Is it in the realm of possibility to make that an option that can be toggled? Perhaps I'm in t...

Alright, I'm seeing it now. Given that we're using the one pull out for show description, this can be annoying. Adding to list. Now that I'm home it does pull out one instance per button press but pulls out two shows upon selecting up or down. This makes it hard to peruse what's on "now". Thanks fo...

Re: Slice pulls out two slots rather than one on a button press - mcewinter

Yes, with the slice pulled out one level. But I did just try it again with it pulled out a few timeslots, and still, as soon as I hit the up or down arrow key (either once or multiple times), the pulled-out slice immediately closes and the new slice opens at the same level as the one that closed. I...

Slice pulls out two slots rather than one on a button press - mcewinter

Slice is drunk. It pulls out two slots rather than one with a single button press. Sloppy operation all around, in regards to slice; the old way was fine. Which platform are you seeing this on? Android TV - Shield Added: This annoyance is upfront and center. Do you guys not use your own product?

Re: Why switch from Media Center to SD DVR?

One advantage that SD is supposed to have is recording the buffer. I don't know how adventageous such a feature would be in 2019 but it has been discussed by the SD team, but has yet to matarialize or drive further discussion.

Re: Why switch from Media Center to SD DVR?

Please give me compelling reasons to switch from Windows 7 Media Center to the Silicondust DVR. (besides the obvious fact that Windows 7 is no longer support/updated by Microsoft, and the security implications of this fact) (Oh, and please do not complain about inaccurate Guide data in Windows 7 Me...

Re: Hardware Management Apps - Future

Though for what it's worth, you can manage your recordings from the existing mobile apps right now. Are you asking for something that's more like a traditional mobile app with a vertical display to manage recordings? I'm assuming OP means manage recordings outside of the home network. I wholehearte...

Re: Apple TV app (tvOS)

@nateb Since the New UI appears to be stable for all platforms and is ready for a move from beta to production, is this an appropriate time to discuss SD’s plans for a tvOS app? Are you asking for me to discuss the plans? If so, I'm afraid I don't have much info. The focus right now is pretty inten...

Re: 6 tuner prime soon !!!

The answer is yes, to both. Is it priority #1? I'm not sure how else to ask in such a way that your answer doesn't sound diplomatic. It's likely I would have received the same answer had I asked the same question over the last few years. It's whatever needs to be done to get a release by the end of...
