Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

Definitely buying the Prime 6 and passing my trusty 3 along to a friend.

Re: Lack of basic record button makes me miss shows

Are you talking about me? Am I the negative user? lol. I'm that guy that will tell you that you have a booger on your face or spinach in your teeth. Is that negative? I may be critical but why mince words. I truly believe honest posts like yours will improve the product. That being said, I apologize...

Re: Feature Request- Dual Live Buffers

Except that there is no last channel option. Also, the lack of a one touch record option means that you have to completely back out of what you're doing, then navigate to the two programs by either searching or maneuvering through the discover section until you randomly land upon the two programs. T...

Re: Lack of basic record button makes me miss shows

There really are some good points here. Would probably take a fair amount of effort on both front end and back end to make work, but definitely worth noting down. I've mentioned this before. I described it as breaking stream. If you simply want to record something currently being watched, you have ...

Re: Grid Guide

FWIW, MS is not removing guide data. They are removing metadata lookup for movies and music.

When they announced the Prime 6 this time last year-ish their ambition was mid-year, if I remember correctly.

Re: When Will New UI Be Pushed Out?

Thank you, sir! I'm hoping to see some improvements on how slice operates. Right now it's a little unreliable if you seek past "now". It doesn't refresh the way it should, to put it into some sort of words.

Re: When Will New UI Be Pushed Out?

Now that we have a clear update on the Prime 6, is there anything to be said about the forthcoming UI? Are we still only to expect underlying changes? There has been more than one "coming soon" on the subject and since nobody has asked lately, I thought I would ask.

Re: Major stuttering on Nvidia Shield after update

I had to roll both of my Shields back to the August version as they were unwatchable yesterday. You have to uninstall the app and then reinstall from the APK if you know how to do that and you can download a copy. I also unchecked the setting to install beta releases. I had previously checked that ...

Re: Major stuttering on Nvidia Shield after update

on the devices with stuttering problems, you were updated to the beta app. if you do not want to have beta apps pushed to you, you should uncheck it in the menu when you pause/play 13 times in the app on each device. I wouldn't do this until after they push the fix tho. I think you have to toggle f...

Re: Lon's interview with SD CEO

It was clearly obvious fromTed Head's comments that development had ceased and it the Prime 6 hadn't been submitted for certification. It was also stated that he is a user and wants it released, but later in the interview he stated he and nick have a prototype at their homes. So there was no sense ...

Re: HDHomerun Client

Glitches that I see include freezing, pausing, muting of audio for several seconds when play starts or after skip forward or skip back. Hopefully this would also resolve unresponsive skip forward and skip reverse problems as well. A reliable playback option would really do wonders for the SD Live/D...

Re: HDHomerun Client

I am probably the only person with interest in this, but I would love an HDHomerun player with a good back-lit remote with programmable TV Power, TV Volume and TV Input. I would like to get away from non HDHomerun players that dont work very well. The assumption is that if SD had control of the pla...

Re: prime 6 vs prime 3?

^ I think you would be a cord shaver. The true definition of cord cutting has shifted over time, I believe. It's possible I'm misunderstanding you or that I'm wrong about what a cord shaver is. Nevertheless, ditching the service provided gear is best one can do to get the price down. Edit: I guess c...
