Re: No Internet, No App????

This "feature" should be higher priority, in my opinion. Silicondust has proven most of their success in the cord-cutting arena with the exception of the Prime 3. Requiring an internet connection isn't very cordless. I always hoped/figured that once the Prime 6 and DRM were crossed off the list that...

Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

We'll have some more official announcement in the near future, but I've been told I can tell people if they ask me about it directly. So, yeah, it's the original PRIME, and it's in production right now. I don't think anything will be changed on it. It's going to be a limited run, as the SOC needed ...

We will have a CableCARD product for sale again in the near future. It's already certified.

Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

The question is how log does it really take to develop a 6-tuner device then subtract that from the numbered days of the CableCARD. If they're able to "fast-track" the Prime 6 somehow, you think they would have done that already.

Re: Recording DRM

DRM recording support was never tied to the release of the PRIME 6. DRM support is useful for the original PRIME as well as potential future projects (e.g.. DRM support for the ATSC 3 model if stations decide to shoot themselves in the balls and turn on DRM, or potential future CI+ models for the D...

Re: Recording DRM

Any update? Is this not going to happen? I hate to think I just wasted my kick starter money My cable system has always been full DRM, so I have never been able to record This is a valid question. Is DRM still tied to the advent of the Prime6? We know nothing has been officially announced if the Pr...

Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

The story goes back to when we knew we could no longer manufacture the original PRIME, due to one of the key components no longer being made. A "PRIME4" was in development and was almost sent off to certification, but the same thing happened again there with a key component, and we had to start ove...

Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

The demand for a 6-tuner device goes back to 2008. Is that where the whole story begins? Correction: Windows 7 hit the market October 22, 2009. I imagine demand and pay-off is significantly lower in September of 2020, especially with the advent of this current announcement. The story goes back to w...

Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

You guys have no idea how much it's killing us that we can't tell all of you the whole story. As long as there's any chance of the PRIME 6 still being released, we're going to play it safe and not say anything publicly that might hurt those chances. The demand for a 6-tuner device goes back to 2008...

Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

It does seem like this product will never be released. There are some of us who have not cut the cord because it gets to the point you will be close to cable pricing when you add up all the streaming services you will need. Thank goodness Netflix is included with my T-Mobile bill and I have always ...

They are addressing this. It's been "fixed" before but never worked as expected, apparently.

Re: Recording DRM

Proof of concept was already done on this earlier this year. 5 years in and just now you have a proof of concept? This is laughable. Be honest with your paying customers. So you have been paying monthly fees for your Prime to Silicondust all these years??? Really?? or you have some parallel univers...

Re: HDHomeRun QUATRO 4K for ATSC 3.0

Can you make this so I can dedicate to Plex but omit from your DVR? The Prime6 has obviously s**t the bed, so can you make your current offerings more configurable please, so I can use more than one DVR?
