Re: 2017 Prime refresh?

There have been a few different interviews and online articles where someone from SD is quoted as saying a new Prime with more tuners is on the way. I have a real need add tuners but would rather not rent another CC or have another box to update and troubleshoot. Is a new Prime model with more tune...

Re: What do the existing file state numbers stand for?

Well given the title of the thread and that the second main thread regarding network drop outs claimed the issue resolved they may not be aware of any issue your having. The 0512 was supplemented somewhere down the line as simonpickard had been giving out an advanced firmware he had been given to te...

Re: The Future of HDHR

It may amount to a per client device fee for grid guide service via Tivo rather than per network? They are the only ones they could contract with to supply a grid guide. As to your issue; that is what time shifting is good for; finding out exactly what the shows name is or where an advertised event ...

Re: communication error - no channels

On the TV channel list that TVfool creates a red C will be listed on the left for conflict or duplicate channels. Also in that list is a color guide based on type and elevation per your location of antenna. The amp would need power typically via a coax to a wall wart transformer. Unplugging this wou...

Re: What do the existing file state numbers stand for?

Surprised your not running the 0612beta firmware, on tuner two open HDHR Setup and on the opening tab make sure your set to CableCARD not Digital Cable unless your trying to tune clearqam without a CC.

Re: custom channel numbering on Android TV?

No SD's solution is cloud based guide delivery which for the free viewing client that comes with the tuner is a 24 hour lineup. The DVR service is 14 days so you can be off line except when setting up recordings. There may be add-ons to Kodi that can do that? Might check in this area of the forum ht...

Re: HDHomeRun recording DRM how can this work?

They will limit playback to the home network subnet and to only DRM compliant devices [HDCP paths verified] using client apps. DRM recordings would have to get some kind of playback protection similar to DVD/Blu-ray disks but have a network device rather than disk player device interface. So far MS ...

Re: communication error - no channels

Sometimes amps can be too great for the SD tuner vs. TV, sometimes too little. You could try de-energizing the amp to check the former if 12dB or less, or add a splitter to the path. You can also check via tvfool for recommendations on antennae alignment and type best for you http://www.tvfool.com/i...

Re: No chanels found HDHR4-2US

I expect you have done a channel scan on that tuner [click on no channels and then Detect Channels]. You might try a swap of the power supply's between the two and see if that makes any difference. If that changes nothing swap the coax feed after power test. If it is within warrantee SD will replace...

Re: Still trouble with all channels - Homerun connect

Reducing Volts to an amp would only shut it off. https://s24.postimg.org/z085nkbwl/Phillips_antenna.jpg If the amp is like those in the US model [top right of picture] then a lower dB rate one would be best but you can use a an attenuator. https://www.amazon.com/Holland-Electronics-FAM16-Attenuator/...

Re: HDHomerun Prime and FireTv

Have you found a solution? I have recently started experiencing similar issue on some channels (e.g. TBS, TNT, Spike, etc.). It always happens after a commercial break like something is wrong with the commercials (probably, the switch from HD to SD and then back). However, I do not use HDHomerun Vi...

Re: HDHomerun Prime and FireTv

Hi, I have a hdhomerun and recently purchased a fire tv (not stick). I am having an issue where after watching an HD channel (ex hgtv) for 20 or so minutes the screen turns black but I am still hearing the audio. In addition when i try to start another app (ex. netflix) the audio from the hdhomerun...

Re: Still trouble with all channels - Homerun connect

So he had put two 2 way splitters to get to 90%. But he is using a powered antenna that I think is putting in 40dB plus it has built in noise filter. Closest thing I can find in English http://www.ebay.com/itm/PHILIPS-SDV8622-AMPLIFIED-Powered-Indoor-Outdoor-Digital-UHF-VHF-HDTV-TV-ANTENNA-/12166444...

In that case you may need to amplify the signal. Describe your antenna setup and location. Do you know the distance to towers?

Re: Setup DVR

In running the HDHR Setup program a DVR tab should have opened and on that you would click on "setup on PC" I think, don't have a mac but it should relate to W10.
