is there a keyboard shortcut to jump to live?

of course i could switch channels and then back, this would effectively go live, but it would loose the recorded time. i could continually hit the right arrow button until live...

Currently the HDHomerun live viewing app opens with the last channel opened. In general to open Slices [the live viewing guide system] you can enter a number or use the up or down arrows on a keyboard or remote to reveal these tools.

Once activated, do you have DRM channels (HBOHD, STARZHD, etc) work. Mine get audio, but no video. I am running Windows Media Center on an I3 computer. Also unavailable on the HDHomerun app on my tablet.

There are some very cheap modem card or USB Data/Fax modem options (8-20 bucks Newegg). Both Agere and Conexant seem to work.
