Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

Yeah, lack of any kind of Windows support (or a decent web player) is the biggest drawback to me. Even though it has a great UI on Android TV and TvOS, I can't see it being worth $8/mo when I would have to pay for another subscription on top of it for the ability to watch live TV on a desktop. I'd ...

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

I don’t see the value in the price. There are many other solutions that cost a lot less and many are free. I record something once in a blue moon so there is no value in paying that much. I’m happy you see the value in paying that much. You don't need a DVR, but if you like the way Channels works f...

Re: "Unable to Play Channel" error in Live TV on NVIDIA Shield

When using Live TV in HD Homerun app with the new UI I am getting "Unable to Play Channel" error on the NVIDIA Shield, but I do not get the error when the new UI is turned off. I have both a HD HR Prime and HD Homerun Quattro which both are on Firmware 20190417 and the DVR software is 20190417 also...

Re: 6 tuner prime soon !!!

Other than the addition of 3 more tuners, what will be the difference between the Prime and the Prime 6? Faster processor? More memory? Faster/better channel switching?
Nothing particularly. It really is just 3 more tuners.
It does have a slower Network Interface.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

In Discover you can now search for a channel number to see shows on that channel. You can optionally add additional search terms after the channel number.
Thank you! This is the best thing to come to HDHomeRun DVR since DRM support for live TV.
I cannot even get search to work on my shield.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

When I go to search in discover section on the Shield it brings up the keyboard … I type in the show then hit done … I can see the button press but it does not do anything.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

When I select a movie on Discover it shows the channel the date and not the time … I like to record my Movies outside of Prime Time as I do not want to impact any Prime Time new shows. I see 2 or more occurrences of the Movie but no time is shown. \ https://i.postimg.cc/KY85tXC5/Annotation-2019-04-2...

Re: non-cable premium tv service available for hdhomerun?

You said you are looking for basic cable but I am not sure which channels you mean by basic. Thanks for the reply! I have a working quatro and a nas box. I need to be able to record and time shift Fox News, Fox Business News, CNN, Motortrend and anything else would be bonus. It is important to rece...

Re: Notification when out of HD Space

Totally agree. We've actually been discussing this exact issue recently. Right now we're wondering if report in my.hdhomerun.com is enough. There's no real place to put it in the app, but would it be even more useful there? It could be as simple as adding a storage capacity bar on the bottom of the...

Re: Notification when out of HD Space

That's the way I feel... in the app is "useless" (though checking how much is available might be) as typically such issues occur when no one is even near the app. On most platforms I would suggest something to email the user if disk space gets low... I am not aware of an android utility to do such ...

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Gridview is dumb, and should head out to pasture. It's simply the way it's always been and what people know and change is scary. ;) Maybe that is what SiliconDust thinks. I certainly hope not, if they want me as a customer. I want at least the functionality that I have now in WMC, and if they can p...
