Re: Audio echo
The best way to do it would probably just be to use an audio editor like Audacity that supports multiple channels. You can see the volume levels on each track, and selectively mute individual tracks and play it back to see what you get. If you mute C, you can still hear the people talking but the ro...

Re: Signal cuts out when turn on things. Interference Firmware?
It's called impulse noise, and it can come from a variety of sources. The biggest culprits are fluorescent lights (especially cheap CFLs), dimmer switches, some LED light bulbs (mostly cheap Chinese shit), and anything that converts electricity into motion, including fans, motors, pumps, and compres...

Re: HELP - WMC Sees Only 2 of 3 tuners in HDHomerun Prime
Microsoft killing WMC was one of the worst decisions they ever made. They stopped development just when it was needed most as multi-tuner CableCARD devices became available and cord cutting became a thing.

Re: Audio echo
Something is upmixing the stereo audio into 5.1 and doing a lousy job of it. The audio is in C, L, R, and SR (but not SL for some reason). Anything that is the same between the channels (e.g. anything that is spoken) is duplicated between C and L/R and slightly out of sync between them, resulting in...

Re: Audio / Video keeps losing synch
Go into the settings menu in the HDHomeRun app and turn off the Use AC3 passthrough option, if available. That can be an issue on some FireTV devices.

Re: faulty power cord
Sounds like you just got a bad power supply. Rare, but it happens. You can open a support ticket with SD with that info and they'll send you a replacement power supply under warranty at no charge.

Re: HDHR5-2US vs HDHR5-4K on ATSC 1.0?
I have a lot of multipath issues to deal with and the Sony chips in the 4K work better for me than the MxL in older gen 5, which are better than the Panasonics in gen 4, which are in turn light years better than anything that came before. Caveat here is that I am fairly close to the towers and don't...

Re: One channel pixelated/ ticket 146964
I hadn't heard of KPNX being an issue with NVIDIA, but it's possible. Other stations owned by the same company have had the issue. Curious if you talked to them and got a date from them about moving from 12 to 18. I couldn't find anything with a quick search, but that kind of thing doesn't usually s...

Re: HELP - WMC Sees Only 2 of 3 tuners in HDHomerun Prime
Have you rebooted and gone through the TV Signal setup wizard? WMC usually gets cranky like that if it tries to access a tuner and encounters an error, usually due to the tuner being in use by something else. One or the other of a reboot or going through setup again will usually knock some sense bac...

Re: Audio on ATSC 3.0 (I did read other threads)
The dev version gives more technical signal measurements (dB and dBm instead of %) and opens up more streaming options (like pcap and dash-tar) that are useful for things beyond just watching and recording TV. There's an upgrade option available for purchase in the SD shop that will unlock those fea...

Re: One channel pixelated/ ticket 146964
For what it's worth, KPNX received a construction permit from the FCC on 2/26 to move from channel 12 to channel 18, which they requested due to the large number of people having trouble receiving their channel 12 broadcast. I don't know when they plan to actually make the move, but that will almost...

You need to provide the device ID for your HDHomeRun so they can fix the listing for the HGTV HD channel.

Re: Unable To Play Back Recorded Content
My guess is that Silicondust has the guide listings for 25 set to ABC Television Melbourne instead of no listings like it should be for a radio station. SD's guide listings in Australia are all set by hand, so if there is a channel that has an ambiguous name like that, it could get set wrong. When N...

You sure about that, Nick? I thought quick tune used RF channel and program number instead of RF channel and PID filter.

Re: Semi-Clueless OLD Newbie
FWIW, the HD7000R and YA7000C are basically the same antenna, except the HD version has the mounting clamp in the middle vs. the YA having it at the end, and the YA includes a J pole and mounting bracket while the HD requires a separate mast. I believe the HD model is discontinued, so it's not a bad...
