Re: DRM broken on Nexus Player

Please quit out of the app and reopen it and try again. There was an issue with Nexus Players not wanting to authorize which should now be resolved.

Don't forget the second part, "Are you sure that it's plugged in?".

Re: Timeout error - Challey57

Are you seeing issues on OTA channels or just Premium TV?

What speed is your internet connection rated as?

Re: 1.1.261 Unable to Play channel protocol error

Protocol error usually means you have a DVR running that has an unusable recording location (external drive that didn't exist when the system was booted up, or NAS that ran into filesystem errors and did not mount the shares). Bitdefender is usually a timeout error.

Re: bad pixelation drm channels

The other channels aren't good, they're just slightly less bad, just enough to get above the minimum threshold for reception while the one carrying Fox News isn't. The ONT is still bad and still needs to be replaced. This is starting to become a fairly common occurrence with Fios as most of the ONTs...

Re: Windows 10 Black Screen

I have seen reports of a variety of symptoms with Bitdefender, including long times loading data at startup, timeout and communication errors while trying to watch, and others, that all go away when Bitdefender is removed.

Re: Subscribed today - so how do I turn it on?

There are a few common reasons why the HDHomeRun might not show on the page: 1. If you are using Edge browser on Windows 10, it will not work due to restrictions put in place by Microsoft. Safari on Mac and IE on any version of Windows may also encounter similar issues in certain configurations. Try...

Re: East Coast Feeds on West Coast - ACraigo

TVDB is far from an authoritative guide on episode numbering. It's just like Wikipedia, a collection of submissions from random people on the internet that is often pretty good but is sometimes a product of the views of its editors when there are multiple conflicting opinions. Some shows are just me...

Re: SetUp Values

The VCT Mode settings were some options that were primarily used with clear QAM channels, and are generally no longer used at this point. The BDA Compatibility mode sets some internal options for the HDHomeRun driver that is used by legacy DVR applications like WMC and NextPVR to control whether the...

Re: dropouts and pixelation with new quattro

Wait and hope NVIDIA fixes it. We've got a sample of an affected station and have confirmed that it plays properly when not using the NVIDIA decoder, but has issues when using the NVIDIA decoder (including using the builtin player on the Shield). We've sent it to NVIDIA and they responded that they ...

Re: No guide name for two channels

That means the provider isn't transmitting the names for that channel in the network text table, which is one of the sets of data received from the out of band channel through the CableCARD. Most likely someone messed up something when they added or updated the channel. It would need to be escalated...

Re: Android App Can't Find Tuners On Network

Check for an isolation/segmentation/partition/some other word meaning 'to divide' setting on the router/AP, probably buried in the advanced wireless options. This setting will block wireless devices from discovering the HDHomeRun.

Re: Submission for a local TV logos and EPG

Correct, our guide listings come from Gracenote, so any new channels need to be submitted to them to be added to their database. Once Gracenote's database has the channel, we would need to match their listing to the actual channel being received on an HDHomeRun device, which could be done by posting...

Re: East Coast Feeds on West Coast

Do you have a VPN or anything like that in use? The device is correctly being detected in California and should be picking up the west-coast feeds.
