Interesting. What do your signal numbers look like on WTVS (20) and WWJ (21)? Do you get WUDL on 35/virtual 19 at all? The ...

Re: HDHomeRun DUAL (HDHR-EU) - Channels Detected but Playback Fails in Plex - jerremyscott

What platform are you running your Plex server on? If it is a Docker container, you will need to use host networking for legacy Dual devices to work. If it is in a VM, the VM must be using bridged networking. If you are running directly on the hardware, you may need to configure the firewall to ...

What app are you using to get the graphic bars of signal strength?

I only see numbers when I click on Tuner Status.

HDHomeRun Config GUI is available on Windows PCs in C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun once the HDHomeRun Software for Windows is installed (https://download.silicondust.com ...

Re: BIG NEWS - "Record This Airing" now works for everyone

And of course you do still need to have an HDHomeRun DVR running somewhere, either on a FLEX device with an attached hard drive, a computer, or a NAS box, in order to utilize this. Just a new feature for those who want to test out the DVR before buying or who are mostly live TV viewers but ...

Re: can't get channel with 90+ signal strength & quality, and antenna choice

First thing to note is that 5, 8, 10, and 13 broadcast on VHF, and these are going to be annoying on panel antennas because panel antennas are too small for optimal reception of VHF. They do sort of come in because of how the antenna, coax cable, and any nearby metal interact, but even tiny ...

Re: How to force HDHomeRun to select virtual channel and remember in CONNECT 4K

snq of 48 is below the minimum needed to fully decode the channel, so they're not really going to be watchable even if they did get scanned in. You would need to improve your low VHF reception in order to bring in that channel better, and that typically means a better/larger antenna.

Once you get the Audio only message, if you exit the HDHomeRun app and go to another video app like Netflix or Prime Video, does video play in that?

Re: HDHomerun refuses to record

First thing to check is to right click on the Start menu icon and select Network Connections, then at the top look under Properties and make sure it shows "Private network". If it's Public, some firewall configurations can block discovery of the HDHomeRun.

If it is already set to Private, check the ...

Re: What does this email from Verizon mean? No more cable card support?

Verizon is going region by region and ending linear cable channels, which ends support for CableCARD and their little SD tuner boxes. Anecdotally, it seems like the end of Fios TV for most people who were still hanging on, as broadcast TV and other streaming options seem to be a lot more popular.
