Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

I think after the FCC released the CableCard mandate it won't be long before you can't get one anymore. And honestly, I did the numbers and it's honestly no longer a cost savings. I dug out my HomeRunPrime yesterday and went and got a cable card from Spectrum. The guy said this was the last one in ...

Re: TV Everywhere - Possibility?

Check out Channels DVR. It's my whole home solution and also what I use to stream to my mom's mountain cabin to watch TV. Coupled with 2 tuners (dual and quad) for local broadcast, 2 Primes for cable channels and then use my FIOS account to backfill with TVE. I now never run out of tuners even when...

Re: Is the PRIME 6 soon to be released?

I live in an OTA dead zone so my choices are cablecard tuners or nothing. Really hoping it does not come to nothing There is always TVE and ******. Does your location support ******? I wish HDHR DVR supported TVE and ****** that would be perfect. Moderator, how in the world is that a blocked word? ...

Keep Storage and Stop Recording

I know I've seen this before and I have a guess on how to do this but wanted to double check. How can I setup the record path so that the DVR does not record, but will still serve up the already recorded files to my devices. We don't want to delete the task, but we still want to access the recording...

TV Everywhere - Possibility?

Would it be possible to support recording TV Everywhere streams similar to how Premium TV was handled before? This in combination with our Quatro (and eventually Quatro 4k) would fit the bill for us. All the channels we care about are supported by TVE.

Re: New Record This Channel Feature

There does not appear to be a way to change this option on existing tasks or modify on a new task setup with channel only. It looks like it only can be setup with a new task. I tried changing it by clicking “Current Season” and it wont change even change to “All Episodes” Maybe the intent was to cha...

Re: Recording DRM

So you have been paying monthly fees for your Prime to Silicondust all these years??? Really?? or you have some parallel universe in which newly offered DVR service stated DRM recording out of the box now ?? Neither is really, Prime did not come with any monthly fees nor DVR service ever stated cur...

Re: Automatic Deletion of HDHomeRun DVR Recordings

+1 to the auto deletion. Also would like a way to bulk delete. One at a time is crazy and takes forever. I'm almost out of space. Would deleting them from the NAS through ssh be OK or would the DVR software go crazy? Thank you, Jay If you deleted it that way the DVR will re-record the episode when ...

Re: Having a hard time convincing family (wife) that HDHR DVR can replace WMC

We hit a complication - some of the buttons on the WMC remote do not result in any form of key event or notification in UWP apps. What about the buttons on the Xbox One media remotes like the PDP Talon? That's actually the main one we're testing against. In particular, cc and record buttons don't s...

Re: Having a hard time convincing family (wife) that HDHR DVR can replace WMC

The HDHR folks have said they are working on the media center commands to get them working again in the HD app, but with all the other work they are doing, it seems that it's not at the top of the list of actions yet. We hit a complication - some of the buttons on the WMC remote do not result in an...

DRM recording is required feature and I understand why it may be very hard (vs when Microsoft did it originally with WMC in Win 7)
Yeah when MS did it, they only had to work with one OS which they fully controlled and are a much bigger company. Still took them three years to do it.
