Re: Studios Sue Omniverse in TV Streaming Crackdown
Man.....if I were SD I would be grilling my Legal Counsel about letting the company get sucked into this mess. Potential legal liabilities (or lack thereof) aside, this seems like a high risk low reward gamble on SD's part from a brand management standpoint. I understand the drive to find new reven...

Re: East coast feed in California
I used to get the same with Frontier. We would get the east coast AMC feed. I liked it because I could record and watch The Walking Dead 3 hours earlier.

Re: Cord Cut - PremiumTV
We were on a one year $100/mon deal for cable and internet. That just jumped to $165/mon while internet only is $65/mon. Considering that PremiumTV has all the channels we watch except Hallmark the decision was a no-brainer.

Cord Cut - PremiumTV
Well we've been toying with dropping cable for a while now and since one Media Center computer bit the dust and the other is making loud noises (HDD, PSU, Case Fans, CPU cooler) that sound like imminent death along with Spectrum raising costs through the roof we eliminated traditional cable. Thanks ...

Re: Splitting the coax between a Prime and a cable modem
I would recommend using a tap for the modem prior to any splitters for cable connections. If just the prime and cable modem just a tap alone would do the trick. I would not use an amp in most cases.

Re: 6 tuner prime soon !!!
With Microsoft killing off wmc and ceton out of the picture there was no reason to develop a six tuner unit. Just keep selling the threes until cablecards eol. Better to spend the resources trying to develop a dvr application and now a streaming service. They can't buy the parts to keep making the ...

Re: Black Screen Startup Slow
Is your internet working? I don't currently have it in normal use on Windows 10, but when I did before if my internet was out it would hang for a minute and then allow me to access recorded shows and liveTV (with no guide data).

Re: User Guide to HDHomeRun Record Engine
I too would greatly appreciate the ability to resume playback where stopped. Also can't find a way to fast forward to get back to where I left off. Have to click, and click, and click.... to move ahead from the start. Took 2 years off life of my mouse getting back to 4th quarter of the football gam...

Re: Followup 1: Any recourse? Back to stone age. Everything DRM now
Good advice from the forum. Here is the latest. I followed up with a couple of my local broadcast channels and received the following (emphasis mine): "I am sorry that you have been experiencing trouble recording our programming via your DVR. We do not incorporate any DRM, and our programs are full...

Re: Total Noob to HD Homerun
They all helped... For my needs then. I would need to wait for the Prime 6.. And get a couple media players. Like android TV, FireStick etc. I have 3 TV's and my wife uses the DVR for like 3 recordings and watches 1 live show. And the other 2 TV's wont be using the DVR at all. The best price you’ll...

Re: Servio and Scribe
He says the Premium Channels suit his needs, but his wife needs the Hallmark channel. @GetMatt is using a separate subscription to “Hallmark Movies Now” ($5.99/mo or $59.99/yr) for his wife. Thanks for the tip Matt. https://www.hmnow.com/prices-membership Thanks, Debbie, I will pass that message al...

Re: Any recourse? Back to stone age. Everything DRM now
I would call them again and talk to someone else. In most cases local affiliate stations of OTA broadcasters have to be copy-freely (non-DRM).
