Re: T2, PBTV, GMLOOP, and ROXi Internet Channels

How’s progress going on this capability? This is a non-DRM capability in my area I’d like to explore with my Flex 4K.

Any special reason these are must haves in the HDHomerun App?

T2 and PBTV are freely available in streaming apps such as Pluto, Xumo, RokuChannel if you are genuinely ...

Re: Problem with sound

It would be helpful to know the numeric model number of the Roku and the age of TV.

Sound from the HDHomerun app might not be possible with certain combinations of Rokus and old TV hardware. The TV needs to support AC3 / Dolby Digital over HDMI or the streaming device needs to be able to convert ...

Stock. V1.0.5.128_10.0.104

Pretty much out-of-the-box config, other than changing passwords and SSIDs.

Netgear R6700v3

Wifi extender usually used with the HDHR3 is Netgear EX6120

Their firmware is current.

Everything is still working fine as I type this.

Re: no tuners found WIN11

I am seeing the same or very similar with my Win 11 laptop and old HDHR3-US. The app on Onn Google TV and iPhone works normally.

I hadn't used the Windows app in a few months but reinstalled and tried to use it yesterday and noticed this. From the text behind the splash screen, I see it finds the ...

I seem to recall a similar issue when a Mac user had both wifi and ethernet interfaces active. If that is the case, try with just one active.

Re: Unable to play channel: No Video Data

Doubt it's a DRM issue. The two failed channels have zero symbol quality, which could be due to a few things. But maybe there is nothing there to tune into - it's an experimental station. Watch that video starting at 3:10 and keep an eye on the Config_GUI program - they show similar behavior when ...

Re: DVR Series Recording Limits - Keep at most N shows!

Be careful what you ask for. Imagine the complaints when someone's irreplaceable recording gets erased 'automatically.' Such a system would need a means to protect select recordings.

Re: fox issues

You are talking about WNYW I take it? Do the subchannels 5.2 - 5.5 have problems too? If so, it's a reception problem.

Use the hdhomerun_config_gui to look at WNYW, real channel 27. If you see the Symbol Quality bouncing around you are getting uncorrectable errors causing the breakups and need to ...

Re: Live VS Recorded Image Quality

Or possibly watching an ATSC 3.0 channel (channel number greater than 100) and recording its ATSC 1.0 simulcast channel. Could be watching an HDR enhanced 3.0 sports program, for example.

Maybe watch/record and compare a channel you know to be SD 480i and without an ATSC 3.0 option - a brightly ...
