Good news, I fixed the interlace problem. My TV is natively 720P, so anything higher than that and the TV has to try to upsample the signal. So, instead I set the default HDMI resolution of the NVidia Shield to 720P at 59Hz. My guess is that means the Shield is doing the conversion of the 1080i file...

I'll note also that, when I watch the same show using Windows 10 HDHR app, I don't see the issue
Certainly implies that the problem involves my Nvidia shield our my tv

Poor Interlaced mpeg2 performance

I have found that, using Comcast as my TV provider, along with a HDHR Prime (Comcast cable card), WD NAS as my DVR recorder, NVidia Shield and a Samsung TV that's about 6-7 years old, my major network (CBS, NBC, ABC) mpeg2 channels show a lot of artifacts that I generally associate with poor interla...

In the past, the stop button on my remote, a Logitech Hub, used to stop playback (either live or recorded) and returned to recordings screen (or perhaps whatever tab was most recently used). This behavior seems to be lost with the latest update. It would be great to get it back.
