Awesome, I hope that channel or network's techs can help out. Maybe they were gonna offer ATSC 3 advertisers double the chroma signal instead of loud audio?

You probably need to send data to SD from your tuner to see if they can figure out what the issue is. Maybe to high of a signal coming in or maybe interference of some sort. Cell phone towers can cause signal issues if your really close. Just some thoughts.

.local does not use your DNS provider, it uses mDNS/zeroconf and is link-local only.

It seems likely you have a connectivity problem between your HDHomeRun and other devices.
