That balun has seen better days for sure. But your channel 8 may still come back when the weather settles down if the wires aren't broken or shorted out.

Channel Master makes some good replacements. A bit cheaper on their web site compared to Amazon.

In general you need the Signal Strength and Quality to be above 50% and Symbol Quality to be a steady 100% to have a watchable signal, so it sure looks like a reception problem. Do any non-channel 8 signals look good in hdhomerun_config_gui?

The Live Bandscan at rabbitears.info shows WFAA working normally. This includes virtual channels 8.1-8.4 and 29.4-29.5. You don't see any of those, but always have before?

Otherwise it compiles, looks, and runs fine on Debian 11 with a flex4k. It "just works" so nothing else really to comment on. :-)
