Steps to reproduce:

• Start in Discover->Shows

• Pick any show listed and tap twice to view details.

• Tap the (X) button to exit.

You're now in Discover->Now, instead of going back to Discover->Shows.

In so far as I can tell, there's no mention there of using a record engine simultaneously with an external USB drive.

I think more my question was, how does it know whether to record on the usb drive or the MAC. Or do I need to unplug the USB?
