Re: Using MAC for Storage
Is there any way to copy a couple recordings I have on a USB drive that was connected to the Flex to the MAC?
The filesystem on the USB drive is XFS, which Macs do not read natively. There's apparently some FUSE related projects that may allow you to read the XFS filesystem, but I have no ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage
I can't seem to get this to work. I uninstalled the MAC recording engine. Re-installed and made sure everything is as it should be. I did not specify an external drive. Wanted to see if it would work with all the defaults. I unplugged the Disc on the unit itself. re-booted everything just to make ...

Re: DVR Series Recording Limits - Keep at most N shows!
I have an HDHR4K and a USB drive connected to it and pay the $35/year DVR service. What I’m asking for is a simple feature that is in other DVRs…it should be pretty easy to implement and very useful to the entire customer base. That said, if there’s a way to do this simply given my setup please do ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage
Here's where it is documented how things work with multiple record engines:
http://info.hdhomerun.com/info/dvr:advanced
In so far as I can tell, there's no mention there of using a record engine simultaneously with an external USB drive.

Re: Using MAC for Storage
I think more my question was, how does it know whether to record on the usb drive or the MAC. Or do I need to unplug the USB?
I can't remember where this is documented, but as I understand it, if you have more than one record engine, then whichever one has the most free space, is the one that ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage
I read that I could use a MAC for storage. So I downloaded and installed the software.
[...]
Main question, How do I tell the unit where to store the recordings?
That is documented here:

And is this even a viable option and I should stick with the ...

Re: DVR Series Recording Limits - Keep at most N shows!
I need the ability to schedule a series recording and indicate to "Keep at most N shows" where N is a number (e.g. 5).
If you were to set things up so that you're using a record engine[1] then you could put together whatever custom scripts you want to insure that only 5 episodes of whatever ...

Feature request for the HDHomeRun app
Within the app, under DVR Account, how about showing when one's subscription will expire?
