I think solution number 2 is probably going to be the acceptable solution it would please both sides in this situation. That said they need to add apples drm too to the signal so apple devices can decode them.

I guess you can add rokus to the supported list now when it comes to drm support.

They are requiring widevine drm in the apps that use it as of June 30, 2025. Playready drm is being phased out on rokus.
