Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
@nickk I guess where I’m going is you thought I would not have the issue in playback, but I repeatably do. So, perhaps the issue is something else?

Re: T2, PBTV, GMLOOP, and ROXi Internet Channels
How’s progress going on this capability? This is a non-DRM capability in my area I’d like to explore with my Flex 4K.

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
It didn’t matter whether I was in digital passthrough, 5.1, or Stereo audio modes.

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
Finally revisiting these issues using my recordings.
So I started watching the final between Spain and Argentina playing it about the time that the Spain brass band is playing their national anthem through Argentina’s national anthem sung by the opera style singer all the way through that ...

Re: ATSC 3.0 WBNX now using Silicon Dust Certificate Authority
This sounds equivalent to a digital signing certificate. So what would a HDHomeRun Flex 4K do when an ATSC 3.0 channel is showing or playing a recording of a channel without using a valid certificate? Is there some type of warning displayed? Or does it resemble the content protection notification ...

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
Yeah. Just froze again after game around 6:52pm. Guessing you have data you could look at. Confirmed audio is set to passthrough.
Also, it seems like the audio got ahead of the live video. With eArc, I didn’t think that should happen. I’ve read about audio being behind the video with eArc and Atmos ...

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
Looks like I already have the 7/13/2026 version. Diagnostics have been on. The audio setting is passthrough so I can “enjoy” the faux Dolby Atmos audio.

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
I didn’t get the beta version yet, so it’s still freezing on the FIFA logo or commercials. I don’t believe the new version being released has come to me yet. If it has, it isn’t solving my issue.
So, I thought you were saying if I recorded the game and watched, I wouldn’t have the issue. So to test ...

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
Thanks! I can wait. Just wanted to make sure it was reported and addressed.i was originally watching with passthrough to my ATMOS audio system. fox 145.1 is the inly station that my sound system identifies as ATMOS. Then I switched to 5.1 in hopes of correcting that issue and the audio falling ...

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
Happened several more times. Oddly not during the game. Frequently froze when showing a Wold Cup logo screen. Maybe it’s not a coincidence.

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
Just hung again 7:57pm or so. Seems to hang during commercials. Could just be coincidental.

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
I have been noticing that while watching on WBFF Fox 145.1 and the HD Homerun App on my Google 4K streamer the video freezes permanently. I i hit back the app isn’t crashed and responds going back to the guide just fine. And I can immediately select the 145.1 channel and it plays fine. So something ...

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
I had it record the Belgium vs. Egypt game today. I’m guessing it was a guide issue, but it only recorded the first half and halftime. Wasn’t expecting that. Looking back, it seems the guide thinks the game was 3-5pm. So not sure why I didn’t get fge second half.

Re: Fox’s World Cup Coverage
Well it’s finally here so looking forward to hearing observations regarding ATSC 3.0.
On Fox 145.1, I have non-DRM access to what is normally 720p and something that has Dolby ATMOS on enough that my receiver agrees. I’ll have to see what Channels app says, but I don’t expect anything new (better ...
