Re: QNAP-TS233 Setup
Well I have the docker up and running. I believe correctly. Do I just select a TV Show or Movie to record as normal and the file ends up in the Recordings directory of the share?
In other words, once the docker is up and running (properly) the files should automatically record on the NAS where ...

Re: Cannot get HDHomeRun app to find tuners on Amazon Fire Stick (HD)
I set up my network with UniFi gear because at the time I needed something a bit more than a preconfigured modem supplied by my ISP, and Ubiquiti UniFi was recommended to me.
With a lot of googling and a lot of hours invested/wasted I got my network set up and it happened to include an IoT network ...

Re: firewall ports, again
Thanks. It looks to me like it's the broadcast that keeps things from working out of the box. Even with connections from the HDHR open, I still see the discover connection as "unreplied" (as compared to a DNS query, which is I forget what but not "unreplied"). From what I've read, connection ...

I rechecked and turns out the tuners are found when the fire stick is on the main WiFi network, but doesn't work on the IoT WiFi network which is what I have the TVs on.
Is it possible to have my hardwired HDHomeRun device on the 'default' network and somehow make it visible to the IoT network ...

Re: Cannot get HDHomeRun app to find tuners on Amazon Fire Stick (HD)
This TV is on the same WiFi network as the iPhone, iMac, and PC but I just can't get it to work.
I've tried two different WiFi networks off my UniFi setup (my main WiFi network and an IoT network) but neither work.
Using VLANs?
Tuner and Players *must* be on the same VLAN to allow the broadcast ...

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
For the installation: should I use the 2022 instructions which I found here or is there an easier method now available?
I know my way around a command line but at my age time becomes quite precious.

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
UnRaid apps do not contain a HDHomeRun docker, but then I found this thread and it seems to be viable.
The thread seems to suggest any updates to the HDHomeRun application will update if the docker is started and stopped.
I noticed the actual docker is several years old so is it still viable ...

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
I'm having trouble getting this working fully on a UGreen Nas. I have this image created and running on docker inside UGOS. The engine is running and I was able to record shows inside the HDHomeRun app. I can also confirm the shows are recorded in the shared folders. I can watch the recordings ...

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
How can I verify which version of the recording engine I am running? I am using Unraid. I understand with every docker image restart it is pulling down a new version if needed. Thanks
You have multiple ways

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
All,
I tried to set this up. My recordings are currently going to an old QNAP server I have, but I'd like to utilize my more beefy UnRAID server.
What seems to happen now is that when I watch live TV, I see it recording inside the UnRAID docker. But the rest of my recordings all seem to still ...
