Re: Are Managed Ethernet Switches Bad For HDHR Devices?
Noticing my managed Ethernet switch was slowing my Internet speeds on my DVR server, I switched to an unmanaged "dumb" Ethernet switch. What I've noticed since then is I'm getting fewer signal glitches from multipath during windstorms, but also that Channel 9 Seattle now comes in well, where ...

Re: Signal Strength App
I think I'm in a catch-22. From what I can tell, Unraid will not allow you to override the port number when the container is set to host mode. If I set the container to bridge mode, I can override the port number, and I can bring up the HDHomeRun signal monitor website, but it does not find any of ...

Re: WiFi Bridge Requirement
I run two routers: one inner and one internet-facing. One is the Netgear and the other is an Asus. The Asus has better admin features, so it's the outer.
do you use the netgear as just an AP?
2 routers would cause all kinds of NAT problems for video/voice apps to internet, as well as gaming ...

Re: WiFi Bridge Requirement
I tried using a BrosTrend WiFi 6 AX3000 WiFi to Ethernet Adapter
The 'negative' reviews for this product suggest that this is your problem with the setup
constant drop of connection
is an extender not an adapter - i.e. it's wifi is always broadcasting causing wifi noise for your router to ...

Re: QNAP-TS233 Setup
Well I have the docker up and running. I believe correctly. Do I just select a TV Show or Movie to record as normal and the file ends up in the Recordings directory of the share?
In other words, once the docker is up and running (properly) the files should automatically record on the NAS where ...

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
For the installation: should I use the 2022 instructions which I found here or is there an easier method now available?
I know my way around a command line but at my age time becomes quite precious.

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
UnRaid apps do not contain a HDHomeRun docker, but then I found this thread and it seems to be viable.
The thread seems to suggest any updates to the HDHomeRun application will update if the docker is started and stopped.
I noticed the actual docker is several years old so is it still viable ...

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
I'm having trouble getting this working fully on a UGreen Nas. I have this image created and running on docker inside UGOS. The engine is running and I was able to record shows inside the HDHomeRun app. I can also confirm the shows are recorded in the shared folders. I can watch the recordings ...

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
How can I verify which version of the recording engine I am running? I am using Unraid. I understand with every docker image restart it is pulling down a new version if needed. Thanks
You have multiple ways
1. The container contains a simple web based UI at the DVRUI_PORT you provided to the ...

Re: unofficial Docker Container for Record Engine
All,
I tried to set this up. My recordings are currently going to an old QNAP server I have, but I'd like to utilize my more beefy UnRAID server.
What seems to happen now is that when I watch live TV, I see it recording inside the UnRAID docker. But the rest of my recordings all seem to still ...
