Re: Fast Forwarding Issue - patnick44

To Jump in on this conversation.
Sometimes When I am fast forwarding thru commercials on ROKU the screen will go blank but the timeline is still there. Going forward and backwards works with the timeline showing the movement but no video. Exiting recording and restarting doesn't work. Exiting app ...

Pause tasks

I have several tasks set up to record current season. Since I didn’t get this set up until maybe half way through the season. Therefore any time a repeat comes on that was never originally recorded it records it and I have to go in and delete them. Is there a way to pause these until next season? Or ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage

Been doing a lot of testing lately. Here is the result.

Using the MAC for storage vs USB drive didn't really make any difference. So currently on USB Drive.

Purchased a ROKU Ultra and put on same TV as the Apple TV 4K.
The Apple consistently gets out of sync with video and audio both on live TV ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage

I'm gonna try using the MAC for awhile and see if that makes any difference.

Is there any way to copy a couple recordings I have on a USB drive that was connected to the Flex to the MAC? There are a couple I haven't watched yet and would have to plug the USB drive back in to get them otherwise.

Re: Using MAC for Storage

Been playing around with this for some time. As long as I use the ROKU for playback I am not having any issues.

The original intent of this post was regarding using a MAC for storage. I just now started playing with that again. Finally got that working.

My question now, is it better to use the ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage

Sent email with link to file. Sorry it's an hour program but all I had. It is the one I was doing all the testing with the various devices.

Re: Using MAC for Storage

OK, it's definitely something to do with the Apple system. I tried 3 different ROKU's, 3 different TV's, including the one the Apple is on. In all cases the ROKU worked fine. No issues with A/V sync. But the Apple is consistently getting off.

Any Thoughts from anyone?

EDIT: Just to clarify, I don ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage

Before going any further on this I made a couple observations. Maybe there might be some suggestions here.

My main TV is using an Apple 4K, hardwired ethernet. This is where I am having the issue with the A/V sync. I replaced the HDMI cable to eliminate that. Yes it is the latest High Speed version ...

Right now all I have are longer shows. I will record something that is 30 minutes, check it, then send links.

Re: Using MAC for Storage

Device ID 10A4D677

I tried this on a Roku and a Google TV. Same result. So doesn’t appear to be Apple related.

Re: Using MAC for Storage

Regarding this whole issue, here is what my problem is.

When playing back a recording the audio and video will get off during the playback. I can exit, restart, and it will be fine for awhile.

I have tried this on my Apple TV 4k, which is the main TV I use, and my Ipad. Both do the same. Thought ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage

I can't seem to get this to work. I uninstalled the MAC recording engine. Re-installed and made sure everything is as it should be. I did not specify an external drive. Wanted to see if it would work with all the defaults. I unplugged the Disc on the unit itself. re-booted everything just to make ...
