After purchasing many Roku devices over the years, I finally gave up over a year ago with similar issues you mentioned and switched to a $20 onn box. That fixed it nickk. Looks like I still had a 2023 version. While colorful, I don't think it's really necessary.

Where are you seeing and hearing this? I have the client on a Win10 machine, 2 onn devices, 1 Android phone, 1 Android tablet and none of them make a sound when starting.
