Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
So if I have a Fire Stick 4K on Samsung TVs, is this considered an Android solution in this context? If it is, and I hope it is, does it suddenly become less clear when Amazon transitions to the new OS I think I was reading about called Vega? Or is that just for Fire TVs? The Fire Stick 4K is curre...

Re: Audio drifts out of sync over time with ATSC 3 channels on AFTV Stick 4k Max 2023
It is just the HDHR app for me and only on the ATSC 3.0 stations. The 1.0 stations in the app do not drift. And restarting the content, no app restart, will resync initially but then it drifts again over time. One more Q.. Is the stick plugged into the Denon or a TV? Or other? My fire stick is plug...

Re: Audio drifts out of sync over time with ATSC 3 channels on AFTV Stick 4k Max 2023
Is it just the HDHomeRun App, and just ATSC3 channels? Does sync re-establish after restarting the content? or app? I ask, because I see the same drift on other Apps on the 2023 4k MAX also - in particular with the Hulu and PlutoTV. At first, just restarting the app or even just playback of the con...

Re: Super Bowl in 4K HDR
Paramount+ app feed looked really good in 1080p HDR and surprisingly was outputting 5.1 DD+ audio on my Nvidia Shield Pro. Unfortunately it started throwing "video is unavailable" errors pretty consistently even in the pregame show. After having to restart 4-5 times before the game even st...

Audio drifts out of sync over time with ATSC 3 channels on AFTV Stick 4k Max 2023
HDHR app is the latest from 01/16 with audio mode set to passthrough. Fire OS audio is set to "Dolby Digital Plus". This is the only combination that seems to correctly send actual DD+ audio to my Denon AVR-x4700h rather than PCM or some upmixed fake surround sound. The AVR shows full 5.1 ...

Re: List of Supported devices
Picked up the latest (2023) Amazon Fire TV stick 4K Max today. The two remaining major networks in ATSC 3.0 here that have not enabled DRM are now using 5.1 channel audio that I wanted to leverage. Initial runs of the app with no audio configuration, passthrough, and 5.1 surround all resulted in so...

Re: HDHomeRun app for Samsung TVs (sideload)
I guess we could do some form of login which then queried the api server for device information. or even if i could do a one time set of the hdhomerun ip address that the app could remember and use if upnp fails. not as elegant or user friendly as your solution but perhaps simpler as it requires no...

Re: HDHomeRun app for Samsung TVs (sideload)
got this installed. the install video was very straightforward. enabling developer mode did not work initially. some googling indicated entering 12345 very quickly which did work. receive the following error at app launch: Version 20220204d UPnP discovery is not supported or not working on this TV. ...
