I've been using my HDHomerun device since 2021 without any subscription. Don't think lack of a subscription anything to do with the current issue which affects other customers as well as me.

By the way, the link you gave doesn't work. I get this response:

"We can’t connect to the server at hdhomerun.local."

Can't record from my Android tablet either. If I can't record anything, this I is useless to me since I can WATCH over the air directly on my TV.

I'm having the same problem. I find that if I just click the back arrow the error box disappears and the regular screen displays. I can look at live TV the other features, but I cannot record anything. Particularly bad timing since I'm a Youtube TV subscriber and was going to depend on this system ...
