Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
Same observation reported by SpiceWare: when skipping ahead, in some instances the application freezes on my mac. I had to quit and reopen. In my case too it was also happening with the previous version (HDHR-DVR 1.1.1_DSM7.spk) linked in the first post of this thread. PS: did you move recordings us...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
You need to add the user 'HDHomeRun' with RW permissions to the share (probably 'video') that contains the RecordPath you need, then restart the record engine. you should then see .log files appearing in the RecordPath folder
Thanks! Indeed that fixed the issue. Actually, the HDHom...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
Hello, Installed hdhomerun_record_synology_20221106beta1.spk according to instructions. Everything worked fine. DS218+ running DMR 711-42962 update 1, HDHomeRun app version 20221031 on my mac (OS 13.0.1). I then tried to change the record path in hdhomerun.conf: It is: RecordPath=/volume1/HDHomeRun/...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
Indeed, for whatever weird reason, the hdhomerun.conf file was not present at the designated path. I don't know how it got deleted, but anyway, I reinstalled/reconfigured it, and now it seems to work. Thanks for the hint! PS: how did you know about what the logs indicate, including date etc.? The lo...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
You have two options for synology (a 3rd if you consider docker on some systems) Either make /tmp exec or copy the "real" record engine out of /tmp and put it in a place that it can run from and run that.
Thank you very much for the info. Thus it should be something wrong on my s...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
Well, it did work with DSM 7.1-42661 Update 1 It does not work anymore with Update 4. It is just me, or the script does not work for others too? PS: any new about an official DVR package, as reported in this thread? Thanks a lot! To get around the reset-at-boot /tmp permissions, I created a Synology...
