FAST! Things are working smoothly for me now on HEVC channels under Windows 10. (Previous firmware was giving me all sorts of problems.)

Re: Firmware 0104 no sound ....
SiliconDust just released another firmware update (2021010 4 ) which resolved the timeout problem I was experiencing. Check my.hdhomerun.com again. If the main page says firmware out of date but the tuner says it thinks it's up to date, give it a hard reset and it'll find the firmware update availab...

Re: Firmware 0104 no sound ....
I have latest Windows OS Pro ... Windows 10 is pretty terrible about telling you which version you have. In your search bar, type "dxdiag" and run that. On the first screen that pops up, read what it says for Operating System. Mine is: "Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 18363)". That's also-known-...

Re: AC-4 Audio?
I believe SiliconDust would need to send engineers out to each of the ATSC3.0 test markets with a variety of test bed hardware to thoroughly get this sorted out as quickly as some here are wishing. During a pandemic, where this would put their employees at an unnecessary risk. Set expectations accor...

Re: AC-4 Audio?
To those who have have felt misled about the Quatro 4K's capabilities, I'd like to give more context to what I mentioned ... So you honestly feel that SD was upfront enough about this? I certainly don't, and I see now that I'm not the only one with such sentiment. If this product had been sold reta...

Re: AC-4 Audio?
To those who have have felt misled about the Quatro 4K's capabilities, I'd like to give more context to what I mentioned in the 8 Nov 2020 thread . If you went through the analog-to-digital TV transition 11 years ago, that went pretty smoothly due to the FCC's "digital mandate." New equipment sold h...

Re: 8 Nov 2020
Bleeding edge or not, there should have been a warning and clear explanation on purchase page. You're the second person to have suggested this. One is a point of data, but two begins to make a line... I think there are two desired outcomes we can all agree on: An option to make the Quatro4K tune in...

Re: Tune 4 ATSC 3.0 channels simultaneously?
The HDHR5-4K has 2 tuners that can receive either ATSC3 or ATSC1, and 2 tuners that can only receive ATSC1.
Therefore both of these statements are both true:
Therefore both of these statements are both true:
- The HDHR5-4K can only receive 2 ATSC 3.0 channels simultaneously
- The HDHR5-4K can receive 4 channels simultaneously

Re: 8 Nov 2020
Will this address AC4 audio support? Audio support varies by platform and client device. It seems to me that it could be helpful if we had a list of devices and companies where AC-4 support isn't working yet, with links to support forums or bug trackers where we could express support for this. Does...

Re: ATSC 3.0 Portland: QUATRO 4K
Hi adaptive, a few things: Go to my.hdhomerun.com and choose your device, and upgrade the firmware, as it may have not arrived with the latest firmware (20201030). FireTVs don't seem to currently support MP-4 audio decoding. See Video but not sound . This is affecting many platforms. Make sure you'v...

Re: ATSC 3.0 Portland: QUATRO 4K
Ah. Then, a coincidence
I see the 15.x virtuals in the HDHomeRun channel list... but for the signal strength, that's physical/RF 15 that I was examining.

Re: ATSC 3.0 Portland: QUATRO 4K
I've noticed that after performing a channel scan, I have a certain number of channels, but if I check back later, more channels magically appear. After rescanning channels the other day, I was back to 50 (those troublesome Physical Frequency 11 stations had vanished again). But give it some settlin...

Re: ATSC 3.0 Portland: QUATRO 4K
The 3 channels on Physical 33 regained their HVEC tags without me even needing to rescan, and the Physical channel 11 stations are now showing up too. Mysterious! But things are looking good now.
