Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

Channel scan does not seem to be working after a change to virtual channels. One of our ATSC 3.0 channels recently changed to new virtual channel numbers numbers, prior to a few days ago our rf 23 channel looked like this: 5.1 WRAL (1080p) 5.12 WRAL (sd) 50.1 WRAZ (720p) 50.2 WRAZ (sd) 34.1 WARZ (72...

Re: 24 Dec 2020

Tuning ATSC 1.0 vs 3.0 channels: We have an ongoing effort to support multiple channels with the same virtual channel number to support user selection between ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0. We want to get everyone up and running now so the pending firmware release has a short term workaround moving the ATS...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

We have two Fire Stick 4Ks, Windows 10 HTPC, Windows 10 gaming PC, Android phone. Windows 10 squished video was fixed but only has audio on one speaker on HEVC channel. My other Windows 10 gaming computer, I can't even get video acceleration to work with my 3080 on any channels but that's the least...

Re: 24 Dec 2020

The Win10 app update is out (20201226) - this fixes the buffering pause seen on some ATSC 3.0 channels and 1080i HEVC content will play fullscreen. as of this update the Win 10 so is working well with all our 3.0 channels on Raleigh NC, no pausing and no squished 1080i, thanks for keeping us update...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

Looks like WRAZ is live on 50.2 but I can't see it. When is Silicon Dust going to address this? Can you post the details for WRAZ like you did on the others? Do you have DEV firmware to run the GUI? sure, here you go: Virtual Channel 50.2 WRAZ* Frequency 527.000 MHz Program Number 46 Modulation Loc...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

I have a very weak signal in West Cary and am getting under 1mb bit rate. What bitrates are you seeing? Are you using HDHomeRun Config GUI to determine bitrate? or something else? If i use config gui, i see a bitrate that fluctuates somewhat and varies from channel to channel with hd channels like ...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

Looks like 14 has just gone down... From early this morning: I hadn't previously noted any daytime signal issues, so I don't think it is related to my setup/location (Five Points). This is interesting. I am in North Raleigh. I have never seen this channel down even though i have looked every time i...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

I just updated my post, please note my explanation and screenshot of my channel scan. You can see all the channels if you use the "HDHomeRun config Gui" app and tune to UHF 23 Is the Config GUI app available on Mac? i would assume so, for Windows it is installed with the viewing app from the instal...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

Also keep in mind that RF 23 is WARZ-CD, a Class A station with a signal that doesn't reach as far as the full power Raleigh signals. As a point of reference, I am in North Raleigh, near Falls of Neuse North of 540. HDhomerun Config gui says 85% signal strength. More on where you can expect to rece...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

WRAL/WARZ is now live with ATSC 3.0 on UHF 23 with the following stations: 5.1 WRAL (1080p) 5.12 WRAL (sd) 50.1 WRAZ (720p) 50.2 WRAZ (sd) 34.1 WARZ (720 ish?) 34.2 WARZ (sd) each pair seems to be the same channel with duplicate content in different resolutions Also note that some of the channel's ...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Raleigh/Durham

No, when I do the channel scan for the 4k connect it only gives me 11.1. I see no, 11.2, 11.3. The sub channels are in ATSC 1.0. and are coming from different towers. Currently, non of the sub channels are available in HVEC / ATSC 3.0 if that's what you are asking. All I know for a fact, I used to ...

Re: Firmware List

you can find some beta "change log" info here: https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=32339 Maybe I missed it, is there or can we get a sticky post with a list of the firmware files for the connect 4K? Are you talking about the change log for what features, fixes, and changes have...
