Re: DRM error Shield TV - paulbates
Currently DRM protected channels can't be viewed using HDHR until an act of god from the A3SA or the government makes it illegal for DRM encryption on over the air broadcasts.. There are tons of forum posts and also videos on youtube about this issue.

Re: LG C5 2025 TV
I would suggest a streaming box. I know everyone wants to use their brand new TV to run everything. The truth is the support for apps generally don't last that long for TV manufacturers if at all.

Re: Is my issue the antenna, interference, or...?
I think everyone here still thinks its an antenna problem. It would be nice if we had specifics on the antennas you used so we have an idea of what maybe you should try next.

Re: Is my issue the antenna, interference, or...?
What are the 3 different antennas you tried. Sometimes they say UHF/VHF but most of the time they are UHF with a chance of getting VHF. Normally you need longer elements in an antenna to get VHF. VHF is also the harder frequency to get compared to UHF.

Or the station might have been in low power mode having work done on the tower.

Re: HDHomerun 4K Local Stations in New Jersey
It should be able to detect the atsc 3.0 channels. However if the channels are DRM you won't be able to view them or record them (unless A3SA allows solutions to move forward in the future). You should get a screen stating that when tuning into the channel. Make sure you have the latest firmware on ...

Re: Poor symbol quality
Good I think you posted over at Channels and I believe you said you are only 15 miles from the towers. I wouldn't think you would need an amplified antenna. The only reason I said about wifi devices is that I had a wireless security camera in my garage that was wireless and I basically had an ...

Re: Poor symbol quality
Do you have anything that is amplifying the tv signal (something that powers the antenna) or any new LED lights or WI-FI router (any wifi device) close to the antenna? Could also be a bad power supply. Hopefully one of the SD folks can look at the logs and see if there is anything that tells us what ...

Mine are 9 to 12.5 miles from me too and I have mine in a detached garage. So very similar setup as you.

Re: Best LTE/5G Filter Location
Depending on how old your Televes antenna is, you might already have a 5g filter built into it. I believe the re-pack models do have it already. I agree that you would not want to amplify the 5g. But the filter should filter that out anyways. I guess what you would need to do is test if you need the ...

I think you said the problem in your post. Port their software. They are still in the software business and it would be a hefty price and or not able to due to patents.

Re: Apple TV herk and jerk
My Apple TV is connected by wire and is the 2022 model. 30 to 90 seconds seems like a long time to sort out the smooth play. I would think this would happen within the first 10 seconds for buffering. Jumping between football games and commercials would make me not want to use the app. I would gladly ...

Apple TV herk and jerk
Has anyone else noticed the app on Apple TV that it kinda herk and jerks like everything 6 or 7 seconds? I also have Channels DVR and this behavior doesn't happen and runs smooth while watching OTA tv.
