Re: ATSC 3.0: Boise

New firmware works for me! Just tested it with an iPad and I was able to play 134.1 and 134.2 Thanks Nick! My iPad Pro, 3rd generation, will get sound but still no picture. Am I doing something wrong, or will this model of iPad Pro not work with ATSC 3.0? Thanks My 3rd Gen iPad Pro gets sound and p...

CBme wrote: Mon Jan 18, 2021 5:46 pm So what is on those channels and what is the resolution?
Both channels are the same; BYU TV.
Family shows, religion, and BYU sports.
AFAIK, these are the only free to view ATSC3 broadcasts in Boise at this time.

~3800kb/s
Video: AVC, 1920x1080p, 29.970 fps
Audio: AAC LC SBR PS, 2 channels

Thanks Nick for the info and effort.
I assume the updates will come in a future firmware.

Re: ATSC 3.0: Boise

It is now on google drive and shared with this link (425MB) The video/audio format seems to be H264/AAC-PS which is odd. I was able to play this channel back in early October but something changed later in October. Not sure if the HDHR firmware or the broadcaster is preventing me from viewing the c...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Boise

That big file size would indicate it is streaming (something) at an average of around 29mbit. Very interested to find out what that is. Do you get a viewable file if you capture it without the "dbg" formatting? When I try to capture without the "dbg" an error occurs. No error when I get with "dbg"....

Re: ATSC 3.0: Boise

If you want them to take a look at the two stations, get a clip of each and post it to a share so they can see what is going on with them: I did what you said and created a clip with the following command: wget "http://192.168.0.33:5004/auto/v134.1?format=dbg&duration=120" -O Boise134-1-20210117.mp...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Boise

The channel lineup on my HDHR5-4K shows two unencrypted HEVC channels in addition to the ATSC1.0 channels. I have not been able to play these channels since October. The HDHR clients I have tried are Win10, Nvidia Shield TV, iPad Pro, LG TV. I have also tried using VLC to stream the channels. Nothin...

Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client

I just started using this Kodi add-on and I wanted to say how much I like it. I have installed it on a Nvidia Shield TV Pro and a Raspberry Pi 4 running LibreElec I like .. .. works in Kodi and therefore works on any device that supports Kodi .. provides a channel guide in grid-table format .. fast ...

Re: New: HDHomeRun app for LG TVs

Enjoying the new app on my LG 2019 C9 From CostCo. I too have an LG 2019 C9 OLED TV from Costco and I just got around to comparing the HDHR LG app to the HDHR Nvidia Shield app. I record college football games with the HDHR DVR. The LG app produces a sharper and brighter picture than the Shield app...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Boise

Something changed over the weekend. Using firmware 20201023 a channel scan does not show any HEVC tags on the device lineup page. RF33 and RF34 still show the program streams in the Config GUI but v34.1 and v34.2 will not play with VLC. They were playing last week. Not sure if this is due to the bro...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Boise

I am in the Boise area. With firmware 20201015 my HDHR5-4K detected HEVC channels v34.1 on RF34 and v34.2 on RF33. These channels are labeled BYUKCBB and BYUKBSE. Using HDHomeRun Config Gui on Windows 10 I can see that there are other encrypted programs on these RF channels. The new firmware allows ...
