As of February 2021, I am now able to get audio from the HEVC 1xx channels on my shield 2015. I uninstalled the version I had loaded and reinstalled the application and now able to get audio. Problem found - fixing...

New firmware release 20210104 fixes the problem. All 3 of your ATSC 3.0 channels should now work.

It's because Nvidia doesn't want to pay for the patent to include native Dolby support on older shields. Until there's an open source AC-4 codec , you won't get audio on it without a soundbar or receiver that can decode AC-4. Kodi, VLC, Emby and Plex all rely on FFmpeg for their media functions, so...
